My company is sending me to Germany in November.

I leave Nov 6 and don't get back home till the 21st (late)

So it looks like I miss the Pitt and Wash games. DAMN!

I'm leaving on the 6th(arrive the 7th) and the hotel
I'm at has (supposedly) Hi speed internet.

So hopefully I can follow the games via that method, except the Monday night game against Pitt ( 1:30 AM start time...?)

Anyone have any good links from that side , or do the standard
links available here (streams) work from Europe?

Justintv should work in Europe, if not you can do streamtvnow, that works. Usually you will be better off finding a sports bar, the monday night game might not work for that though. I am not sure how it is in Germany, but I know a lot of countries get some games televised on local channels, so you might be lucky to find a Broncos game at the hotel.

You should be able to watch the Broncos online at http://watchthedenverbroncos.wordpress.com/

If not, then just quit your job and stay home. Or are you not a real fan?? :)

If you get the NASN channel on the tv at the hotel you can watch football, they carry a lot of NFL games.

Thanks guys....There are supposedly 3 english language channels on the TV....not sure what they are.

The streaming links are good....
Hopefully the internet connection is REALLY hi speed and not some
garbage slow connection.

Lex...I'm sure the board would appreciate a break...want to go in my baggage?

I'm 3 years from retirement, after 36 with the company. I've been saying they need to get my replacement on-board....but they don't.

If they want to waste the money I guess they can. When I'm gone, I'm gone.

Don't need a porn stash... going to GERMANY....you find some REALLY interesting stuff on tv over there...especially late night early morning.

YouŽre lucky to find a hotel with the standard Pay TV channels here, nevermind a channel like ESPN America.

Supposedly not according to their web site, but I don't care. Its a Bronco game! Miss one and my week is ruined. Of course going to Germany in November might be enough to accomplish that. And I don't do time changes
well, especially going East. (sort of like the Broncos with Early games)

Guess, I better get all the flu shots, as well as distemper vaccinations , etc.

That sucks. I wish you the best.

Sometimes being a Broncos fan will make life even more complicated than it already is.

Heck I ALWAYS have a nightmare the night prior to the first Broncos game of the year where I miss the game. I always wake up sweating and looking at my watch to make sure I didn't sleep through the game. Hilarious!

Wow I just realized I'm not as normal as I thought I was.

Which cities are you going to?

I'll be in a town called Erlangen...A little south of Nuremberg.

Closest major touristy thing is Bamburg. Did the castles and old churches tour back then for a couple days.

I was there for two weeks in June 03. Drank WAY too much beer , especially
at the Beer festival they have there, then.

Beer is good....but it is pretty good here with all the micro brews around.

Plan to eat out all the time...although the hotel rooms have a small kitchenette (good...I like to have some food in the room now and then).

Not sure what the prices are with current exchange rates (at or near $1.5 per euro.) . My company will only reinburse up to $60 per weekday and $80 per weekend day for food. The hotel has free breakfast, so that will help.

Wienerschnitzel, Jaegermeister and such. Lunch at the company cafeteria I assume.

with 40 € for lunch and dinner you should have no problems at all..

Just pay $40 for 2 weeks of the the Yahoo NFL Gamepass dude. Its not that expensive to watch your favorite team.

Why bother with unreliable streams, when you can watch the game in HD and even watch it later on demand.

I lived in Asia for the last couple of years and never missed a single Broncos game, thanks to the Yahoo NFL Gamepass. Infact, at $210, it works out to be a much better deal than DirecTV, that you would pay if you were stuck out of market stateside.

Atomicbloke were you in Japan? That was never available to me. Curious now as my dad still lives in Hong Kong (he's from Denver... I'm from Hong Kong). Anyways, let me know.

Berlin is possibly the coolest city in the world right now. If I could live there, I probably would.

Try to go to Austria and check out Salzburg if you can. Also if you have time depending on how old you are (i'd say if you're below 35) you should go to berlin with some friends and do the club scene there.

Was in Singapore, then in Mumbai. Was available in both places.

I am not sure why it shouldn't be available in Japan. It's completely browser based, hence its available everywhere.

It's just blocked in the United States.

Haven't seen below 35 for....oh, 25 years!

Partying is good , but harder to overcome as the years roll by.

Some days I feel older than dirt. Some days not.... but then a hangover makes me feel like DUST!

The whole problem is the mind ...it still doesn't recognize the reflection in
the mirror. But my body tells me every morning that I'm a LONG way from High School.

Unfortunately I have to work over there...training course in a formal atmosphere , with tests and everything. So the Par-TAY has to be subdued..

I'll check out the Yahoo thing when I'm there.
