Input request.

The gen set in my RV has been working like a champ considering the age and hours. At least until right before last weeks game. When I started it the rpms fluctuated and it started to "spill" fuel from the carb into the air filter can.

I checked the fuel filter, fuel pump and the float doesn't appear to be stuck.

Whazzup? Any Ideas?

It's an Onan 4.0 BGE generator.

So should I do a good carb cleaning, and give it another shot. Parts are hard to come by.

It really depends on the condition of the Carb-today, the oxygenated Fuels that we are sold are diferent than just a year ago-Gas can go bad in just a few Months now-

anyway, I would pull it apart and see if it's just clogged or if it's corroded-if it's corroded, I would find a good Onan Dealer and replace it-

I'm thinking it's probably clogged. It was running fine when I pulled it out of storage. I started and ran it once a week with no issues, then I "topped off" the aux fuel tank (which was almost empty) and the issues began.

Hopefully it will take care of the problem, if not I'll have to bite the bullet and haul it to Rocky Mountain Cummings in Henderson or Nolans RV. They are a bit closer than the "outfit" you recommended.

Thanks for the info.
