Love living in Albuquerque. Never have to pay for the Ticket.

After having lived in Singapore, Taiwan and Mumbai for the last few years, it's so great to be living in Albuquerque again.

Not only do I get to see all Broncos games at a convenient time, but it's such a great city to live in.

Life is good!

Go Broncos!

Yes, IF my local CBS affiliate were carrying the game......but I live in New England....and I'm getting the game only because I have Sunday Ticket.....and I thought the local blackout rules applied to games that are carried on Sunday Ticket....precisely BECAUSE they are tapping into the local Cincy feed.....

Am I wrong?

You are wrong, there were a couple teams that were blacked out last year that I was able to watch.

If you live in the market you have to watch on local channels anyway, if it is blacked out on local channel then you are screwed but not because of DTV.

Think of it this way, if you live outside the market they have to feed the game to the away team so the broadcast goes out to the rest of the area's, just not to the home team's channel.

Excellent. Thanks. I remember there was discussion last week about this. Some people that had Sunday Ticket were worried that the Cincy game would be blacked out...even for them.

The reason was.....if you lived anywhere besides Denver, then you'd get the local feed from Cincy......and therefore a chance of blackout.

Glad this is not the case.

I see the fox lineup includes former player John Lynch, I bet he will be a solid analyst. I don't know why the got rid of Brian Baldinger, I enjoyed his commentary on fox.

I've never heard anyone say that before.

Ha!LOL

That's what my wife would say, and when we lived there people would ask where we were from.
When we said we moved from Colorado virtually EVERYONE said "Oh my God why?"

Still, if I couldn't be here at home (we were in N.M. for about 3 years and have been home since '05) the Land of Manana would top my list of ideal places!

Many think of it as desolate drylands, but their climate is VERY similar to ours, there is plenty to do (without any crowding) with an artsy capital of about 100k and Albuquerque an hour south with half a mil.
Where we lived (North Rio Rancho by the Santa Ana casino) I had shopping, the Rio Grande, and 45 holes of OUTSTANDING golf within a couple MILES, and we even had a decent SKI are exactly 19 miles door to door.

Sure, it's high desert and not very pretty (but what is compared to here?) when you get away from the mtn's and river, but parts of the mountains are absolutely STUNNING, and standing on the slopes and looking out as HUNDREDS of miles stretch out before you (as you can do from most anywhere on Sandia Peak) is nothing short of inspiring.

Anyway, "why" is the question we STILL get asked when we say we moved there, but IMHO it's a HECK of a lot nicer than people think, and #2 on my list of ideal places to live.

P.S.- That list factors in cost of living. If it didn't Northern Cal would be second, but cost ASIDE I think I'd still put Northern N.M. third on the list.

.......and yes, it made a difference that in three seasons EVERY SINGLE Bronco game was on local television AND radio with the KOA broadcast. :approve:

God it must suck to live in Southern California!

It does in EVERY way possible, but under the ether (presumably a side affect of smog inhalation) most of 'em actually LIKE it there.

Let's keep it that way. God knows we don't need more of 'em here!!

Looks like I'm at the hang out for the opener, will be drunk bright and early.

This is the disturbing part. I don't mean the drinking (even though I don't partake) part, but the EARLY part!!!!

Do you guys and gals realize that ALL of our road games save TWO (SD and Oakland) are at 11:00, and only ONE is at our normal 2:05 or 2:15 start time.

I know losing early games is part of the Shanahan regime, so let's hope the same problem doesn't plague McD. If it does we're in a lot of trouble this year!!

Packers have a good team. I wouldn't be so sure Bears win that.

I bet you will be pulling for him though. If for no other reason then to come back here and rub our faces in it.

Tell me again what team are you a fan of? For that matter what country?
