Feel free to lawl at the RB section. Also interesting to see Marcus Thomas us now "officially" an NT instead of a DE, and that he beat out Baker. Marshall still getting tough love as a 2nd stringer..... but since Jabar is injured, not like it matters.

Meh, Depth charts are required, but I don't put much stock in them for Dline or running back.

I love our depth at LB and DL

lmao I never thought I would be able to say that with this team

btw I doubt the RB order really means anything, we all know it probably goes Buckhalter, Moreno, Hillis, Jordan.

also I think Marcus Thomas is still going to be a hybrid NT/DE wherever we need him I guess.

Shocked we kept Gorin, he looked pretty crappy in preseason.

Me too, can not figure out why he is still on roster. Must be for his vet status

So Hochstein will start if Kuper can't go?

Does it bother anyone else that Ayers is playing behind Doom?

Does it bother anyone else that Ayers is playing behind Doom?

Why?

TheDave
09-07-2009, 06:22 PM
Why?

Because Doom is better and young... We could keep him for a very long time at that position. I thought Ayers was drafted to play that all important SOLB.

Shocked we kept Gorin, he looked pretty crappy in preseason. I think Clemens should have this spot. Clemens did everything Humanly possible in the last preseason Game. That is the only think I really pissed about. I think the Broncos are solid anywhere but QB.

Looks like Royal's our return guy again. Sure am glad we traded next year's #1 for Smith!

so by default, Marshall is starting?...

guys, we have the best fourth string running back in the nfl!

I keep telling people why but I guess people really don't want to think any different then they already do.

He's on the team because he scores tds, is good in short yardage, and rarely if ever fumbles.

Only 4 lost fumbles his entire career.

Stuff like that is important when you are around the goaling.

not really Doom looks ready to get after the QB and Ayers has some learning still to do.

Since when has it been unusual for rookies to not start away?

Who said anything about starting?

I said I was disapointed to see him backing up Doom on the weak side. When we drafted him I was under the impression he ws either a DE or to play the all important SOLB.

IMO it would be a shame if we used the 17th pick of the draft on at a position that we were already strong at.

Yeah when I think of touchdown machines in the NFL Jordan is one of the first people I think about. Hilarious!

He could still play SOLB and usurp Haggan later onin the season.

Or a slow injured RB, or a or a nickle middjet CB, or stocking the saftey position and RB position before drafting the same.

Or drafting a 3rd TE in the second when we had 3.

This roster looks like an expansion team like an expansion team.

Wern't we going to get another ILB?

Davis! What a find, and Dawkins! All 37 years of him for 9 million.

Or Paxton.

or Gaffney.

Really.

This is crap.

We weren't "already strong" at that position because we had no idea how Doom would transfer over to an OLB when he has only ever played DE. The fact that it seems to be working out is a really good stroke of fortune - a badly needed one for sure.

Dude...even TheDave and BroncoBuff don't complain in every single post relentlessly. You must be a real joy to be around.

Doom wasn't any more of a projection than Ayers... the fact is we had players that at the very least projected to WOLB (Doom & Moss).

Now maybe this is just to get his feet wet and migrate him over to the SOLB position as the season progresses. If that's the case, then now big deal.

I agree with you on that, totally. I don't think any of our draft picks outside Moreno were drafted to start - which is why we had such an emphasis on bringing in quality veterans in the offseason.

Ayers and Moss
