I voted yes. Just leaving Scott sitting there is reason enough for me. You get the top RB recruit in the country and have him returning kicks? WTF? We're going to have the Marcus Houston circus all over again? You can't tell me that Hawkins shouldn't have his lines working by now. He's had three years. His team is getting its ass handed to them in the trenches. That tells me he has wasted three years. The hallmark of Hawk's teams so far has been that they show up for every game unprepared, struggle through a quarter, and then comeback with quick scores and speed. No more of that. They got munched last night by a team that was superior in every phase. That Hawk sticks with his son is admirable from a parental point of view, but if he thinks Cody is the answer, he's letting his parental role bleed into his professional responsibilities. After three years this team should be a whole hell of a lot better. I notice Boise State is kicking ass. Makes me think we hired the wrong coach.

Here's another reason:
Hansen to redshirt this year. Don't care what he says in the article that it's something he and Kiesau thought about, you know he's doing this because everyone in the world realizes that Cody is the starter until he graduates or Talkins gets fired, whichever comes first. Coach Talk is going to take this ship down because he won't bench his kid.
A team so disorganized that it can't get a snap off until there's 1 or 2 seconds left on the playclock
Position groupings for certain formations. You play Scott until he needs a break. When he needs a break, you put Speedy in. If somehow either of them can't go, you think about putting Sumler in, and then realize you have Lockridge to put in there instead. If Lockridge can't go, you ask Polk to switch back to offense so you don't have to put Sumler in there.
Tired of seeing guys who can't get it done (Sumler) playing over Scott, Stewart, and even Lockridge.
2 5'9 walkons at WR on the field when they're losing in the 4th.
The inability to develop players, which was supposed to be something he was actually good at from his Boise days.
Former players are not fans
Tired of the excuses (young OL) when this has been the target year pretty much since everyone realized the terrible state that Barnett left the program in when he resigned. What's the excuse going to be if he's here next year?
Tired of seeing a team that's completely unprepared when it takes the field.
2 road wins in 3 seasons
Montana St., Baylor, ISU, and last night are just unacceptable losses.

I guarantee you McBuff voted for him to stay. :pity:

Ask me again after the Kansas game. The trend, however, is disturbing and if I absolutely had to make a decision today .....

The only way for CU to succeed, as Bill McCartney proved, is by successfully recruiting from outside of the state. The best way to do that is to take a top recruit from a big state like California, say Darrell Scott for instance, and turn him into a national star - not a ****ing kick returner.
Word gets back to California, Dan.

Yeah Id have defended the shlt out of him till that disgrace of a football game.
If I were Dan Hawkins, and I saw the personnel I had on offense, and where the talent is and where it isnt, I SURE AS HELL WOULDNT THROW IT 40 ****IN TIMES IN A GAME!!!!!!
Id run and run and run and run some more. Run the freaking triple option with Hansen for Gods sakes! Thats what McCartney did till he ****ed up and went with Koy Detmer over Tommie Frazier.
And when I hear the words "overlooked" and "looked ahead," for shlts sakes, didnt he learn that lesson when Montana came in here and kicked our ass?
The mark for the guy is 7 wins this year with a win over Nebraska. Any less and he is gone.
Still so ****ing disgusted over the playcalling and use of personnel (or lack of) in that game.

wow, there is nothing for me to add...I said everything typed above!! Time for him to go.
There seems to be a lot of good candidates out there: Grobe, Gill, Kelly, Sciano, Mendenhall, etc.

It's too late to change what will happen this season, but if the year goes as I saw on Sunday (CSU storming the field and I was there, URGH) very much implies it will, time to go. Get Shanny in! ;)

Well Toledos run defense is god awful, so lets see if Cody throws 40 times tonight and 2 yard Sumler gets more carries than Scott and Stewart combined again.

Another ass kicking 54-38 BY TOLEDO! And there are six people who want Hawkins to stay? You've got to be kidding me. That game was pathetic. Cody Hawkins has to be one the most inept QBs I've ever seen. And Dan just stands there on the sidelines looking like he's **** in his pants. He doesn't have a clue. That was a pathetic exhibition. Next ass kicking - Wyoming.

I voted no by accident so adjust the poll accordingly. CU is horrible. They may not win a game this year.

What scares me is that if Hansen can't dethrone Cody this year...he sure won't next year when Cody is a Senior. Clark Evans please hurry up and develop.

I got jumped on a little when I said this guy is bonkers. When you put your own kid in at QB you have to have your judgment questioned.
