Does anyone remember when we didnt have to pounce on other peoples table scraps? Ah, the good old days.

Yeah, I can't see it either ... but we need to carry three for now.

Is Ingle Martin better than Damon Huard?

Maybe. I like what I read on him.

Get on board the Tebow wagon now while there's still room. ;)

Huard did beat the Broncos in game 4 last year. I heard Mike Shanahan say at the bronco qb club after that game "Huard made some throws that surprised us - he's better than Thigpen" (thigpen had started the previous week for the chiefs)

Stop gap solution at best, though.

Well, if by 'we' you actually meant the collective fan base than you do indeed have a point and I apologize.

I just assumed you were one of those weird fans who try to attach themselves to the team by using we to describe they...."We need to run more" "We need a better NT" etc.

With what pick are we getting him or are the city of Chicago going to have Godzilla attack it and destroy the Bears.

Were those the days of the Super Bowl teams when we picked up scraps like Ed Mccaffery, Mark Schlereth, Neil Smith, Howard Griffith, Brian Habib, Bill Romanowski, and others? Some teams scraps are other teams building blocks to Super bowl championship teams.

Other then Ed who in that group didn't do at least something in the NFL worth a roster spot?

Not with McEinstein in charge. He's got way too big of an ego to take a vet. He needs a guy like Cassell who he can groom to reap the credit from.

Yeah, Orton's a vet (somewhat), but who believes in this guy?

A lot of people think he'll slide since he hasn't worked directly under center. I'm hoping he slids down to us...probably around 24 or so. A lot of people don't think he's going to be successful in the NFL but I think he's got "it".

Or we could always trade Orton for 2 #1's and a starting QB. ;D

I would pick up Huard and let him play 2 half of thurday preseason. Insurance in case Orton cann't play.
