So who is going to be the most shocking name cut, who stays who goes?

Tough decisions, especially with injuries and pup designations and......

Ugh

I'm pretty sure that no shocking cuts are coming. Maybe some disappointments, though.

I think the Thomas/Moss/Powell/Crowder foursome is in big trouble. If any stick, it appears to be only for depth. I haven't watched the 2nd half again, yet... but did ANY of these guys make a play? Did Thomas even PLAY?

Very disappointing if it pans out that way. We really needed one of these guys to break out this year.

Off with their heads ...... this will be a totally unrecognizable team in no time. Hopefully Cutler will develop Steve Sax disease tommorow morning ( Or awaken to discover that his achilles tendons were stolen from him overnight to be disrtibuted on the black market ) and the Bears will deliver us a nice pick next yr.

Also, I am totally for Brian Dawkins dabbling with HGH to elongate his Bronco Career.

I also think Moss might be gone. It will be interesting to see how many WRs they keep with the injury's/suspention

GOOD!

the recognizable teams we have had the last decade couldn't get the job done, lets see what a new style and type of team can do.

time to quit living in the past and build on top of the foundation in place. Royal, Moreno, Hillis, Clady, Harris, Doom, Alphonso, McBath, Bruton, Baker, Larsen, Ayers and Woodyard

I'm really concerned about the Punter situation, In fact I had to go see the doc today for some meds. It's got me up at night stressing.....I'm near a nervous breakdown...I'm usually right in my gut and something tells me the Punter this year is going to be very influential in our success...very.

No, but I'm sure he'd give me some antibiotics if he knew I was hitting this place on a daily basis.

bye bye Larsen and Woodyard.

i don't disagree that they both looked horrible in the 2nd half against the Bears, but i think they are too important on Special Teams to let go at this stage. there is some really easy camp fodder to run through first . . .

The knock against him coming out of college was that he didnt have a lot of strength. So no suprise there.

Can anyone explain how long it takes a player thats cut to start the waiver wire process? Just wondering when Kevin O'Connel (looks horrible right now) will clear the Chiefs and sign with the Broncos.

Also who else can provide depth behind DJ and Davis? Lee Robinson is the only other guy I can think of who plays inside.

Inside linebacker success in a 3-4 is dependant upon a two gap NT that keeps the offensive guards off the linebakers. We don't have a true NT on the first unit. The plays where Woodyard and Larsen struggled, there was an OG on them immediately.

That's interesting because they seem to be very high on Olsen. He's consistently the first interior lineman off the bench to replace either guard or center (with Hamilton sliding over), despite the fact we have 2 pure centers on the bench and a couple veteran guards.

Anyone have some more detailed thoughts on Olsen? I haven't read much about him but the preseason playing time makes me think they view him as the future starting guard with Kuper.

I'm surprised the pitchfork crew isnt here saying that we should cut Alphonso Smith

i think its time to cut the **** out of Thomas and Moss....i'm so sick of hearing about them. It's like looking out into the driveway at the brand new Mercedes you bought before losing your license to a DWI....just disappointment

I want Woodyard to stay

they arent cutting woodyard, larsen, thomas, or jordan......

We just have to cut 5 today, right?

Players I don't particularly care for/haven't seen enough to know better: Vernon Fox, Braxton Kelly, McChesney, Matt Willis, CJ Jones, Tony Carter, Clint Oldenburg.

Players that might get cut that I'd rather see play in week 4: DJ Johnson, Marques Branson, Brandon Gorin, Tyler Polumbus, Mitch Erikson, Marcus B Thomas (RB), Tim Crowder, Jarvis Moss...

Marcus Thomas RB
Matthew Willis
DJ Johnson
Marquez Branson
Braxton Kelley

Matt McChesney even?

Ericksen is listed ahead of him on the depth chart, and yet Matt has taken every single snap with the 2nd team. Strange.

What happened to that OT Stanley? He's not listed on the roster ???

There were no surprises among the Rams' first five roster cuts. WR Jarrett Byers (http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/players/playerpage/1675119) and C Daniel Sanders (http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/players/playerpage/1675217) were undrafted free agents this year, and CB Marcus Brown (http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/players/playerpage/1616628) was an undrafted free agent last year. TE Joe Klopfenstein (http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/players/playerpage/414664) was a bust, with 33 catches in three season, and WR Brooks Foster (http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/players/playerpage/504777) (knee) likely will be placed on IR if he clears waivers.

According to Rotoworld:
Broncos cut TE Jeb Putzier.

Putzier is a name from back in an earlier stint with the Broncos in 2005. He's unlikely to garner much interest around the league. The Broncos also cut seventh-round rookie C Blake Schlueter, WR C.J. Jones and P Dustin Colquitt.

The Browns cut veteran corner Rod Hood.
The team also waived TE Nate Jackson and LB Robert McCune and signed rookie OL Branndon Braxton, who had been with the team since May but was waived last week. Braxton is a Youngstown native who played collegiately at Oklahoma.

Thanks ... I actually think Polumbus is a lock. He's the only guy (other than Clady) to play LT this summer. You gotta have a ready backup there.

Or maybe they think Ryan Harris could move over if necessary ???

Why does the league bother to have a cut from 80 to 75 players? I could see the cut to 75 if rosters were up to like 90 players like they used to be, but I don't understand why they don't just have one cut from 80 to 53 now.
