yeah he's poised with his schedule to have a shot at being top dog this yr. But don't count Manning out he has a pretty nice schedule as well.

for fantasy i have them like this

1-Manning- Just feel he's going to throw for 4000 and 35 tds
2-Brees- He could be the top dog
3-Rodgers- Over Brady but only because Brady got hurt last yr. Healthy Brady could be top dog
4-Brady
5-Rivers
6-Romo
7-Mcnabb
8-Warner
9-Cutler
10-Hasselbeck - I know a reach but Seattle has a great schedule of ****ty pass defenses.
11-Roth
12-Ryan

Certanly does help that Brees has a lot of weapons.

that would still put brady and manning above brees, whereas brees throws similar pick numbers, but hugely more yards and TDs, hes always placed behind them but the saints had a defense similar to ours in 07, pretty damn bad.

Matt Schaub is going to have a huge year. I think that Oline is in place to keep him healthy. I see 4000 plus yards and 28 TDs.

With Shockey and Colston back in the lien-up they could be pretty good. Especially if there D can step it up!

He had 3100 and 15 in a injury filled year last season. He has weapon's too, Daniels, Johnson. Walter, and Slaton

Fantasywise...... does anyone draft Orton? He is playin in the "system"

Did anyone catch the destruction of the raiders? wow ... that had to hurt. it was like 48-0 when I turned it off.

I love me some broncos but when money is on the line the only one I'd touch would be Royal ... in a PPR league as my #2

I want Royal as well, but I'm getting scared for his health. Dude might get 150+ screen passes his way this season.

Yes. We'll pass a lot, guaranteed. He could end up being a pretty good fantasy QB.

I disagree. Schuab always gets hurt, Andre always gets hurt, and if Andre goes down Shuab will suck.

Rothlisberger is a very good QB but not a very good fantasy QB. Hell, Orton will put up better fantasy numbers.

No owner, coach or GM would pass up Brady or Manning to get Brees. That's the only case that needs to be made. He's a great QB but he's not Manning or Brady. Sorry.

i see the potential with Schaub accomplishing that, in fact i think the Texans could surprise the hell out of the NFL this year. i just am not high on Schaub, he is just a walking injury waiting to happen, if he could stay healthy he would no doubt have a killer year.

curious, waht makes those two better? decision making, arm strength, accuracy? brees isnt lacking anywhere except maybe height. brady and manning would get chosen based as much on reputation as anything, but as far as being an effective QB who can make all the throws and score tons of points per game, brees is at the top

Did one of my drafts today, got Brees first round and when it got time for a backup I took Orton over Favre and Shaun Hill.

Ill use Orton during Brees bye then drop his ass.

But Brees has always done me good, heres my draft in a 12 man league.

QB Brees, Plorton
WR Colston, Royal
RB Slaton, Addai
TE Shiancoe (fckin Greg Olen was taken 1 damn spot ahead of me :( )
RB/WR Moreno
K who cares
Defense Baltimore, New England
Bench Beanie Wells, Rashard Mendenhall, Michael Jenkins, Kevin Boss

Also, IMO the crappy defense is a major plus for Brees fantasy wise.

Last year in my league Brees had 378 points to Mannings 311 and Bradys 3.

In '07 it was Brady with 486, Manning (with Harrison and healthy Addai) with 344, and Brees with 311.

Id take Brees over Manning because 1. He has outscored him the last 2 years and 2. Anthony Gonzalez is not Marvin Harrison. And when Marvin wasnt Marvin last year Brees beat Manning by 67 points overall.

With Brady, who knows. If he is the Brady of '07, then By God. But Id take Brees over him simply because I know what Im getting with Brees. He has been pretty damn consistent since '04.

I took brees in my league with the 6th overall pick... I still got Chris Johnson, and frank Gore... There wasn't anyone on the board that I would take over Brees at that spot, and by the time it got back to me, Brady and Manning would have been gone...

I believe there was a stat somewhere where he was like 1-17 with the Saints when his team is trailing in the fourth quarter. He's a great QB but has problems in the fourth quarter when the game is on the line.

Another nice thing in favor for Brees fantasy wise is that Sean Payton apparently hates running the football. Brees threw like 60 times a game last year. Not surprised he broke 5000 yards.

well, this year it WILL be more balanced for teh saints. but damn dude, the saints were averaging almost 29 ppg, i think there offensive gameplan needs very little adjustment...

The problem is when you throw the ball that much, it leads to more interceptions. People rag on the Saints defense, but when they were playing against good pass defense teams early in the year, Brees was having problems left and right.

17 int is not that bad....especially after 630 attempts. he had 2 3-int games which they lost, the other 11 spread out, and he threw more INT in the 2nd half of the year than the first. a team averaging 29 ppg AND having 31min TOP cannot blame the offense for losing...

Come on dude. If 17 INTs isn't bad in 630 attempts then why is 18 in 616 bad?

Fantasy wise Brees is right with Manning and Brady.

In fact, even just as a QB in general I think Brees is right there with those two. He has shown since he arrived in New Orleans that he has all the tools and knows how to use them as far as skillset.

Id take Brees over Brady right now for sure. Brady is a hell of a clutch QB but really how good is Brady if Brady is stuck in New Orleans and Brees is in NE? Not as good as Brees IMO.

dont look at me i never faulted him for throwing INT, i just think hes a whiny pussy who should have showed up to do his job instead of sitting at home til he got traded. and he throws them at the most inopportune times i.e redzone or for no reason at all tossing it to double coverage.
