I dont think Swine flu is a joke, as I know the history of the 1918 Pandemic, but I do wonder about the timing of certain "news" items, and think the timing of this now is to distract from Healthcare.

The latest entry from that site:

"The answer to Bird Flu, Swine Flu, AIDS, hepatitis A, B and C, malaria, herpes, TB, most cancers and many more of mankind’s worst diseases has been found. Many diseases are now easily controlled. More that 75,000 disease victims have been included in the field tests in Africa. Scientific clinical trials have been conducted in a prison in the country of Malawi, East Africa. Now, in one year since the first book was published more than 200,000 Americans are using The Miracle Mineral Supplement (MMS). Hundreds of lives have been saved. Reports of overcoming incurable diseases are happening every day! More than 10,000 bottles of MMS are being sold each month. The most reliable source we have found for MMS is our sponsor www.MiracleMineral.us (http://www.miraclemineral.us/)

The author has treated more than 6,000 people personally. This is the greatest breakthrough for all time and is bound to change medicine for ever!"

What next, are you going to link an article about Bat Boy from the WWN?

Bob, you really have to stop being so silly. Really. The timing is dictated by the spread of the disease. Come on. Catch up.

Distract from healthcare? Healthcare's all we've heard about for weeks...why would the administration want to distract from it? Also...which part is meant to distract...people getting sick or media reporting it?

None of that makes any sense.

Somewhere around here I have a thread about MMS. It is the real deal and it saved me from a severe pancreas infection where the doctors wanted to operate immediately but I decided to take MMS instead I had a temperature of 105 for 48 hours and after taking MMS every two hours for the 2 days I was fine. I returned to the emergency room for follow up tests and the attending doctor who was the same guy that wanted me to have emergency surgery was so impressed with my blood levels that he asked me where to buy MMS so I gave him an extra 2 bottle set that I had.

BTW The reason I almost never post in this forum anymore is because it is a waste of my time. Most closed minded group of folks I have ever run across.

Even if your story isn't 100% grade A bull****, correlation does not equal causation.

Where are the legitimate, double blind studies that prove the effectiveness? A wonder drug such as that would make the manufacturer billions, maybe trillions if it actually worked.

Being open minded does not mean accepting things without evidence.

That is the problem, MMS is a simple common product that is easy to make and readily available so there is no profit in it.

Just call me silly then, I hear (and have heard over and over) the past three days that Michael Jackson is still dead -- just saying. I mean, no president has ever used color coded warning announcements to distract the public and media would they?

Sorry that's been the reason...I miss your posts....

For every 10 folks that dominate conversations around here, who are defined in right and left terms only -- my guess is there are 3x as many, who lurk and attempt to learn and hear new ideas....

I dont have any info on this particular one mentioned above -- but can say that I was very surprised to find that some herbs (a few years ago) did have some bennefit for me, (and I didnt expect, jack) and some much more pricey drugs did nothing -- so I agree with the notion that double blind studies are the gold standard, but I do not discard alternative (often much cheaper) approaches after being proved wrong -- they only thing I would add is to talk with your doc before adding herbal "medicines" or anything out of the norm to your diet because of med interaction/reaction issues.

A magical cure all that was simple and common would garner massive attention. Nobel prizes, massive profits, etc. It couldn't be suppressed or go long without notice.

It's bull****, plain and simple.

So you'll happily spend money on a product you know is useless?

You know what they call alternative medicine that works?

Medicine.

What you fail to realize is the power of the large pharmaceutical companies to suppress information on simple items that work because there is no way to make a profit from them because the are not patentable. Happens all the time. You are brain washed and used.

Your being silly. I am not taking a radical stand here am I? I am simply saying that in addition to traditional medicine one should at least consider other options -- when you have health problems, that are not being addressed through standard drugs etc, and you consult your doc first, I dont see the harm in it.

I know there are scams out there -- there always has been, but in my case, I had lost 35 pounds (I am not fat) in a month and prescribed meds were not working, so a $9.00 bottle stopped the medical problem in days, for what had been going on for years (but had gotten really bad that last month.) I know I am sharing too much in order to make a point, but dont get what your real objection is. I dont know for sure if I was cured because of a plecebo effect -- but as I thought it was most likely not going to work, and was sceptical I am glad it did, and that I was open enough to try it. Anyway, anything stupid about dropping $ on something (if you have it) -- if one has already tried a traditional path, that doesnt work?

All you have to do to convince me that this miracle cure works is provide me with a reference to the results of a scientific, peer reviewed, double blind clinical trial. You can go all conspiracy theory whackjob you want, but no evidence means you're just full of it.

This product is freely available and apparently very simple to produce, so if it worked someone, somewhere would have the evidence that it does.

There are thousands of people selling thousands of snake oil cures to gullible people like yourself; this one is no different.
