No matter what side of the political spectrum you fall on, or where you stand on heath care, the fact remains that the people spoke and wanted change. They elected Obama, they elected a massive majority in congress and they did it all for the chance that Washington would begin to listen to what we wanted. Despite that, we got the same old run around.Lots of promises and no change. You may not want the things he promised. Things like Health care reform, repeal of don't ask don't tell, and refusal to support corporations and their greed. Obama made four major campaign promises to the people who did vote for him. Three of those I just listed above. In less than 8 months in office, he already changed his mind on those three issues alone. Leading me to believe that Obama is just another politician. The first president with a real opportunity to change things without much need to pander to the opposition, yet we are wrapped up in his self imposed red tape and empty rhetoric. Obama could have crashed and failed, but had he done it with integrity, I would have backed him. Now i wonder if it's even possible to save a country that has one one view point represented. No one represents the left any longer, yet the blind supporters of Obama continue to tell him how great he is. Republicans will always boo him, but until the left voices their displeasure (or even realize that we are being duped) he will continue on the blind road he is on. I implore you, if your on the left, follow the issues, get involved. We may have won the election, but the fight is still on. If the health care we are being offered, isn't what we wanted, then tell your congressman no way, and go back there and fight for single payer, fight for the public option, fight for repeal of don't ask don't tell, fight for the middle class and the lower classes rights and stop corporations from telling us how to live and running this country into the ground. You may disagree with my point of view, but it's plain obvious that Obama has lied to us and I'm sick of being lied too!
