I can't find this story online but Foxnews just reported a short piece about Cindy Sheehan going to protest outside Obama's vaction spot or somewhere he is gonna be. I am curious for more info on this and more curious about what she'll do.

Call me crazy but I doubt she is gonna be as tough on Uncle Barry as she was on Bush. I dunno though. What do you think?

who's Cindy Sheehan?

She is the mother of a son killed in action in Iraq. She then went on a cross country protest tour and camped outside Bush's ranch.

My opinion only: I think she tarnished her son's legacy and did a dis-service to his name and his sacrifice. Because of her I broke my own rules and did the whole "If I die downrange" speech to my family before I deployed last time. That s*** is a jinx but I came back w/all 10 fingers and toes

This is from Cindy's wikipedia page about he leaving the democratic party. I retract my earlier thoughts on her being tougher on Bush.

Sheehan officially ends party-based activism<TABLE class="metadata plainlinks mbox-small" style="BORDER-RIGHT: #aaa 1px solid; BORDER-TOP: #aaa 1px solid; BORDER-LEFT: #aaa 1px solid; BORDER-BOTTOM: #aaa 1px solid; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #f9f9f9"><TBODY><TR><TD class=mbox-image>http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/24/Wikinews-logo.svg/40px-Wikinews-logo.svg.png (http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Special:Search/Cindy_Sheehan)</TD><TD class=mbox-text>Wikinews (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikinews) has related news: U.S. anti-war mom calls it quits (http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/U.S._anti-war_mom_calls_it_quits)</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

She is consistent ......doesnt matter if i agree with her or not , she has the right to do this , and she is fighting for what she believes in ..........More people like her needs to take a stand ...........And SPfloppy , you hypocrite, you served cause you believe in freedom, then talk out of the side of your neck about dishonor ?
who are you to judge ?
you dont like it , thats fine , no one says you have to ...But the dishonor thing is bedwetting at its finest , what she is doing is no reflection on her son , and damn you for passing judgment on her freedoms and transferringv that on to her sons service or legacy ........ Brother there are some things that are tough to take. I have always taken by charge to protect these freedoms seriously and rarley did I judge someone an a-hole for expressing them. This woman however I could not abide. I have lost friends and had friends hurt during this thing. I respect Casey's sacrifice and as mentioned above I had the "If I die" conversation with mom because of it. That I came out perfectly fine makes me feel guilty when I think about my freinds and guys like Casey who didn't come out fine. But that is my cross and not central to our discussion. I feel close to this topic and strongly about what his mother is doing because it seems as though she has gone far beyond demending justice for her son's death and is using it as a toll to press a political agenda. (Remember she ran against Pelosi?) Her genuine sorrow has transended into something I cannot support. So damn you for pointing a finger at me for expressing opinion the same as you. A freedom I enjoy because men generations before me stood up for this and died for it. This works both ways. I too am free to say these things and having an opinion contrary to what you imagine I should dosn't make me a hypocrite. It makes me loyal for sticking with brothers and sisters who died or were mamed. I have never and will never waiver on that score. This woman is is damaging his legacy. I am certainly not alone in feeling this way. if you'd like I can walk outside and stop 10 troopers and ask them thier opinion. Will you call them hypocrites as well if they all answer the same?

Hmm, when Sheehan was doing her protesting to any camera she could find, funny the left didn't seem to wonder if it was all "organized" or not. But since discovered she was being bought and sold by lefty organizations, still no concern or outrage about it. Oh yeah, since she and the organizations funding her protests are in the same boat with the lefty agenda, it's ok and not worth labeling it as "organized" even though it was. No hypocrisy here.

Its actually kind of sad.

The left has become so deluded that they will resort to any number of ridiculous conspiracy theories to try to explain away the fact that people do not want socialism in America.

Cindy Sheehan was a prop. She would show up with a handful or protesters and the media would flock to her little performance. She was a media-fueled prop and everybody knows it.

People don't want socialism in America? Really? So, it's time to do away with Medicare and Social Security? Perhaps you could run for office on that platform? I'm sure you'd get plenty of support.

Agreed, she has the right in America to say what she wants. I thought she was a one woman wonder, who recieved a bit more coverage than warrented, but hey, she doesnt like the troops being somewhere and her feelings have not changed just because the guy on top has changed.

I didnt say you had to support it , and at no time did I say I support her , but where you crossed the line was tying Cindy's crusade to her son ,Her son probably feels the same way you do , but he isnt around to voice his opinion ....... for you to say she has dishonored her son service with her actions , is no different then saying I dishonored my dads service when I was charged with attempted murder .......

Terrible.

Your argument is out of place. If we could all hop in a time machine and travel back to the inception of social security, I think that its safe to say that Americans would choose 10 out of 10 times to keep their own money and sock it away for the future in a manner that they choose. Instead, you get a fund that the feds dip into at will and the inevitability that the thing will be empty when you are old enough to receive it.

You use social security as an argument for socialism in America?!?! Have you recently fallen through a k-hole?

McSkillet,

You are an idiot. I have yet to meet anyone who wanted to give up social security. If you will recall -- a few years back, GW Bush attempted to seduce the American people to junk it -- and put their money into the stock market.

It was Bush the Ponzi schemer. The theory was: we will all get rich together as the balloon inflates.

Sure. Except it was not true. And they knew it wasn't true!

It was a ****ing lie. For once the American people were not fooled. They rejected Bush's gambit overwhelmingly.

At the time Bush was merely serving as a puppet for the banksters. Make no mistake, they will try again. The bankster criminals who deep sixed the US financial system have not given up on their plans to take YOUR and my money.

How come you can't see what is happening?

No need to answer. We already know. You are one of the knee jerks who don't even know where your true interests truly lie. You are one of the clods who during the last 50 years elected one phony leader after another -- one loser after another. You were also one of the sheep who screamed for war against Iraq, Afghanistan and the whole world --

Why? Cause we got to wipe out all those crazed killers out there -- those guys with brown skin -- who hate our freedoms -- watch out! They is hidin' behind every rock and tree. Look out!

What a dufus.

One needs no other confirmation to know that they are right than to have The Gaff oppose their position.
