Hilarious! I still say Glenn Beck has some kind of drug induced, public breakdown somewhere along the line. The guy is very loosely strung, if you get my drift. We need an over under. I'll take November.

LOL , hav you heard the one about the 3 legged dog , that walks into a bar and says .......... I am looking for the guy that shot my pa ?
Glenn Beck actually used to be a normal conservative with the typical axe to grind so I can't tell if his T.V. show is one big act or if he has really gone off the rocker. The way he brings up his kid and very obviously fakes crying doesn't sit very well with me.

He flipped a corner somewhere a while ago. He used to be sorta entertaining - but - while he covers some of the same things i do - i find that my presentation of things is better - and i'm more open ended - where he is not.

Becks heart is in the right place 7 times out of 10 but his sensationalistic approach hurts his cause.

Becks heart is in the right place 7 times out of 10 but his sensationalistic approach hurts his cause. The guy is just plain "right wing" stupid but I guess that's what FOX wants...

Eight more companies stop advertising on Glenn Beck. (http://thinkprogress.org/2009/08/17/eight-beck-ads/)
Eight more companies — including Allergan, Ally Bank, Best Buy, Broadview Security, CVS, Re-Bath, Travelocity, and Wal-Mart — have agreed to stop advertising on Glenn Beck’s Fox News show. Their announcements are in response to a ColorOfChange campaign after Beck said that President Obama is a “racist” with “a deep-seated hatred for white people.” A total of 20 companies have now pulled their advertising. “We support vigorous debate, especially around policy issues that affect millions of Americans, but we expect it to be informed, inclusive and respectful, in keeping with our company’s core values and commitment to diversity,” explained Carolyn Castel, Vice President of Corporate Communications for CVS Caremark.

Yes, yes "He's crazy" dismiss, all you want, but rarely do those how have a point to make address those points head on. It is easier, and part of Rules for Radicals to mock, without getting at the heart of various issues or contentions.

I’ve seen him use poor judgment on a few occasions -- when he gets pissed off he says things that are over the top -- sometimes he goes too far in my opinion, but stupid? However, the guy is more well read than 90% (on TV on the left and right who share their opinion.) Yes he is very old fashioned, and actually believes the Founding Fathers were on to something special, but I would never think that Obama is "stupid" because he hold a different view.
I guess if you call someone stupid or crazy you can dismiss them, but that's a shallow approach. Its amazing to me that you can ingore what the Pres has said that are indeed racist (if spoken by a white person) I know you dont care that he hung out with a racist preacher for twenty years, but again I guess you can swallow anything to get to the end-game?

That's what the left does sadly it doesn't work glenn is a threat that's why he get's so much attention from them and if he wasn't a threat this thread wouldn't exist.

At times, yes. But as he is an entertainer, and does not claim to be (and never has) a journalist, I guess I cut him as much slack as I do others who are not pretending to be objective.

He's a fool. Believing anything else is foolish. Glenn Beck is what is wrong with American politics.

Yup, that is almost always true.
Watch how the jump on this: If the left were not afraid of Sarah, they would ingore her -- the more inrrational their hatred, the more it makes me think I should take a second look, as I so disrepect most in the media who bash her, maybe I am missing something?

Ever watch an entire show of his? Any content, you wish to provide -- from your own experience, our do you have to go to Huffington for your aurguments?

Making fun of Sarah Palin is like making fun of Al Davis. No one is afraid of Al Davis.
And if Sarah Palin is indeed the scariest thing out there, I will be very relieved,

Its amazing to me that you can ingore what the Pres has said that are indeed racist (if spoken by a white person) I don't "ignore" anything intentionally. And I don't think Obama was on TV calling the president a racist as Beck has been doing, that's the definition of "stupid".
The right wingers in this country have some pretty sorry role models for their political beliefs and values.

Rules for Radicals perfectly defines the current GOP attack strategy. Alinsky would be proud.

Look. Some people are idiots. Are you suggesting we sit around listening to an idiot on the off chance they will say something illuminating? Here's a secret for you to munch on: The golden, halcyon era of a fundamentalist Christian American paradise that reactionaries like Beck want to take us back to - never existed.
