Obama was fighting hard to sign THIS BILL before this recess? Like other bills recently, without reading all the bill, and many in Congress having not read it, and without clarification on some sections of it that can be interpreted in various ways. Anyone here doubt for a second that he wouldn’t have signed it?
If a bill is signed, and it can be interpreted differently, does the government in power interpret they way they see it? So, then if we give them an inch, how far will they take it, if it serves their own interest? So, I agree with teh president, that words matter, and he needs to lead in helping those who are shaping this legislation to remove words that can be seen in multiple ways. I dont put government beyond "reaching" do you? When they do reach and pass a bad law those impacted would ask some judge to review the law (to even agree to hear the case) meanwhile years pass, and the government will use your $ to drag it out as long as possible.
I have been reading sections of the bill, and I am still digesting, I have a BS in English, and a masters in a health related field -- I don’t think it is beyond comprehension, but it is not a clear document, it is admittedly not light reading -- is that intentional? If we have advisors to the president and czars who talk about the value of the old and the very young being so much less then a teenager. Ezekiel Emmanuel, has said some things that are so far left, and devalue the elderly, and the disabled, that IF he would have come before congress, he would not have been nominated to be Dog Catcher, but now he is a Czar, and advising the President. Why did "one payer" Obama choose him, considering his bigotry of those with disabilities?
