There are Jobs, and there are Jobs that Matter!

YOUR CHANCE TO CURE THE HEALTHCARE CRISIS!
The Problem: Rising Healthcare Premiums
Healthcare costs in the US have doubled in the last 10 years, and they are projected to double again in the next 8 years, unless we pass reform through Congress this summer.

Families and businesses are scraping to afford coverage, and many are being dropped by their provider after they get sick.

The Solution: A Public Health Insurance Option
President Obama's public option would allow millions of Americans to afford the coverage they seek. The option would create a more competitive market and drive down the cost of health insurance for everyone.

Big insurance companies know this, and they are working adamantly to stop us. So we are going out and building a grassroots campaign that will bring the power back to the people and not corporate CEOs.

The Strategy: People Power

Over the past 30 years CALPIRG has stood up to powerful interest groups. Corporate insurance companies have far too much influence over Congress, so CALPIRG is pushing back to reduce rising healthcare costs.

The Fund for the Public Interest has organized grassroots campaigns for more than 25 years. We have defended human rights, protected the environment, and fought for the average consumer. Our partnership with CALPIRG is an exciting campaign that aims to bring the power back to the people, and away from the wallets of corporate CEOs.

We need people like you to become involved with healthcare reform and make some money in the process. Joining this campaign will allow you to work with some of the most motivated people in the region. Together, we can make change happen.

Earn $400-600 per week!

I believe when Obama was elected we had a poll during which (If I recall correctly) Dman was going to go "bonkers". I think the results were skewed. SpDirty has completly lost all control of his bodily functions now that a black man is in the white house.

Why are health costs rising thru the roof?

I heard a story from my neighbor that helped me understand why.

His wife has a heart condition -- and she was in the local hospital for a few days. While she was there, one day two doctors stopped in for a visit.

They were in her room for only a few minutes. They did no tests - no medical delivery of any kind.

Later, my neighbor received a copy of the bill that the hospital sent to the federal government -- for services rendered. I must emphasize -- he only learned about this by chance-- because the hospital accidentally sent him a copy of the bill that went to the federal government (Medicade -- Medicare)

Get this: The hospital charged the federal government $15,000 for one consultation -- and $20,000 for the the other.

This case explains a lot.

The present system is totally corrupt. Doctors, hospitals and HMOs are fleecing the federal government. It is not just that they are OVER charging -- they are charging for made up services -- services never delivered.

Yet, where is the outrage. Not all -- but many doctors in our nation are guilty of felonious fraud -- living high on the hog - sending their sons and daughters to Harvard and Yale -- traveling to Switzerland on vacation -- etc etc etc All at the expense of the taxpayer. It's YOUR money.

So where is the outrage? This case is not unique. This is the rule -- not the exception.

As I have stated on this board -- our nation has descended into a swamp of corruption and evil. You can't fix the problems until and unless you SEE and acknowledge them. Until you understand how bad things are.

At present - as the post atop this thread shows -- we are on a ship of fools.

BINGO! We prosecute numerous cases each year of medicaid and medicare fraud by Dr's.

This is why we are going to lose out on national healthcare. The lobbyists for these people and the insurance companies are working overtime with the media, doing what Bush did best, trying to scare the bejesus out of all of us regarding national healthcare. Because what happens if health care becomes reality? They lose some of that bogus money and the insurance companies lose all the way around. Nothing would make me happier.

Socialized medicine kills grandmothers. It's a fact.

The single payer approach is the most efficient way to deliver health care. The administrative costs are about 3% -- whereas for the current system of HMOs the admin costs run to 15-20%

The criminal overcharging can be fixed by cracking down on corruption -- and sending MDs to prison for fraud. Why are we reluctant to go there?

Why the present inhibition against a policy that encourages integrity and honesty and punishes illegal activity?

Why do we put doctors up on a pedestal? Why have we made medicine a profession of millionaires?

^ Because Gaff we do not have that many. This is sad but true. They get away with alot because they have a special skill that no mid-wife, solitary practioner or healer can do. I'd love to see one these holistic med worshipers go without a bypass, or radiation therapy for a brain tumor. How about a mid-wife trying to do a c-section? The quacks(holistic types, faith heelers, ect) out number skilled doctors and modern technology has further added to our dependence on doctors, this in turn costs us more money for what used to be more hands on surgeries and proceedures
