Incredibly, President George W. Bush told French President Jacques Chirac in early 2003 that Iraq must be invaded to thwart Gog and Magog, the Bible’s satanic agents of the Apocalypse.
Honest. This isn’t a joke. The president of the United States, in a top-secret phone call to a major European ally, asked for French troops to join American soldiers in attacking Iraq as a mission from God.
Now out of office, Chirac recounts that the American leader appealed to their “common faith” (Christianity) and told him: “Gog and Magog are at work in the Middle East…. The biblical prophecies are being fulfilled…. This confrontation is willed by God, who wants to use this conflict to erase his people’s enemies before a New Age begins.”
This bizarre episode occurred while the White House was assembling its “coalition of the willing” to unleash the Iraq invasion. Chirac says he was boggled by Bush’s call and “wondered how someone could be so superficial and fanatical in their beliefs.”

Now, added to the other suspicions, comes the goofy possibility that abstruse, supernatural, idiotic, laughable Bible prophecies were a factor. This casts an ominous pall over the needless war that has killed more than four thousand young Americans and cost U.S. taxpayers perhaps $1 trillion.

Weird...the identity of "Gog and Magog" are historically unclear and disputed but currently are usually attributed to Russia by most of the popular prophecy buffs Bush has probably been exposed to. Stranger yet...the conflict is usually attributed to apocalyptic references in the Old Testament that seem to foreshadow the final conflict...ie; Armageddon, the final battle at the end of the age that produces a world war in the middle east involving four world powers, the West led by a restructured Roman empire (Europe, US), a norther confederacy (Russia, Syria, Iran, etc), a southern power (Egypt, Arab allies) and the "kings of the east" (China). The conflict occurs in the valley of Megiddo in Israel and it's launched not by western powers but by the northern confederacy (Russia). Christian theology normally tends to look at this as something to be avoided as long as possible, certainly not embraced as something to be pursued.
Bush should have paid more attention in church.
What a wack job.

Oddly enough - follow this thru...
Gog and Magog invade Israel where they are stopped stone cold by Israel.
So, if you believe in the biblical principles, why would you want to stand in the way of prophesied events? God is going to take care of that army, he doesnt need anyone else's assistant.

None of Bush's logic on this, or for that matter, any other issue...makes a lot of sense. I think he was simply an incompetent imbecile that parlayed his daddy's name and GOP support from social conservatives into an office he had no business being in. Bush couldn't even manage an executive role in an oil company without screwing the pooch...why be surprised if he failed miserably in the toughest job in the world?

The rightards are so upset about us blowing $2 billion on the cash for clunkers program, but not a peep about the $1 trillion we blew on trying to fulfill biblical prophesy?

The second image is a sign of recognition between those in the Occult. When pointed at someone it is meant to place a curse. Note the thumb over the fingers and given by the left hand.

I guess the surprise for me is why isnt it bigger news? There has to be some reason why the media isnt running with it full throttle. And why wait until after the fact to come out and make these claims? I mean, if im Chirac im not going to wait to tell the world that George Bush Jr. is a headcase and allow him to invade a country based upon his fanatical outlook. There are just too many unanswered questions here.

Well, if you were the head of a country and the leader of the most powerful country on Earth just told you he is going to invade another country because of biblical prophecy, would you do something to piss him off? Hilarious!

If i thought he was a nutcase? Oh yea. Considering a good portion of the countries didnt like his WMD theories i highly doubt Chirac would of been that scared to come clean with what Dubya told him. But then again he is from France.

Realistically? It would be the diplomatic equivalent of an atomic bomb for a sitting French president to broadcast this conversation. I don't doubt that it added to the numerous reasons France didn't join the action against Iraq.
