hope they look into this for sure. hes not bad. he apparently punched brady quinn last year, if quinn is their starter this year that culd cause problems, but there was no reason for his release.

I say we bring him in, he's been known for clogging up the middle.

I think he is a head case that has touble getting along with other players. I would rather go after Vonnie Holliday .

I still don't know why we haven't signed him... he's still a freaking FA and he's a damn good DE in the 3/4. On top of that he has great leadership characteristics.

Pisses me off that we've not made a run at him and we're almost at our 1st preseason game. It would only make us a better team to have him here.

... unless Ryan McBean is better than him.....................

Would be great, but I don't think Bowlen opens the wallet for anybody other than no name type FAs.

I believe Holliday is asking for more money then we are willing to pay him.

is he gonna go on to waivers or no?

also, i think its more that bowlen isnt paying tons and tons of money to guys who may or may not contribute. this guy will come pretty cheap.

I think well worth a look. The more big bodies in the middle, the better in a 3-4. Depth if nothing else.

With J'Vonne Parker heading to IR, he'd be a good signing.

They released him for a reason, cant hurt tho brining him for some fodder.

I bet we don't even look at him because of the patriot connection with Mangini and McDaniels.

i think Holliday has outpriced himself. with as many teams as are converting to a 3-4 and with his experience and leadership ability, there would have been at least 1 team that would have signed him had he not been asking for too much.

That and the guy sounds like a loser. Read this article and the reader comments.

Heard on the huddle that Carolina will be pursing him, now that their NT is out for the season with achilles rupture.

I would like to bring him in, he can play nose tackle or either DT spot!

Yea, this guy looks like trouble and appears to have the kind of bad attitude McD has said he wants to avoid. Not sure if he is worth the risk.

This isn't Shaun Rogers.

He has a huge character issue.

No.

SouthStndJunkie

Shaun Smith is a lazy ass clown who thinks he is 10x better than he actually is.

That said, he is better than almost anyone we currently have on our defensive line.

I still say pass.

Ya we don't need his type. Not good enough to justify the character.
