This might have been conevered somewhere, if so let me know where and delete this thread, if not there's my question.

I have heard a lot of great detail of camp (thanks guys, truly top-knotch coverage) however I have heard about just about every rookie, vet or free agent in some degree, but I am curious about this guy because of his military background. I'm hoping he'll make the team, the guy comes across as pretty damn tough (mentally at least), any word on his performance as of yet?

Thanks guys for all the good work, it really helps guys like me and Peoples CHamp and others who are out of town.

I haven't seen him in person since I haven't been to camp, but the things I have read about him is that he always wins the winder sprints at the end of practice (so he is our fastest lineman) and I have read of a few good plays he has made.

Got to see him at Texas vs The Nation back in January and he could be a pass rushing specialist. Seeing him everyday at Dove Valley and he (of course) is in phenomenal shape. He's raw as a pass rusher and gets by mostly on strength and hustle/effort. If he could learn a move or two he could be dangerous. Older for a rookie because of military service, did a tour of duty with the Marines in Iraq.

He saw combat, and he does not like talking about it. There were some local El Paso reporters that asked him about it at the all star game and he was very short/direct with his answer.

If you like you can go back and read our practice reports from Texas vs The Nation at http://draftguys.com - they posted near the end of January. :)

First impression at camp was that he was solid. Second was that he was slopping - but being a UDFA, you expect that to some degree. I don't think he will make the team - but I do think he will end up on the practice squad.

if we judged everyone by their sprints, Simms would be the quarterback (he consistently wins his heats) and Orton would be third string (way slower then the pack).

The man got his legs run over by a semi truck just after coming back from Iraq. Gotta root for the guy and I hope he finds a spot on the team. He's got the measurables.

I hope he makes it. The one thing I have heard is that he busts his A%*. We need all of that as we can get. I'd rathe rhave him on the roster than say a 3rd QB, or a Jarvis Moss.

To you guys that have seen him at camp. Do you think he could make the team and just play special teams for the year?

I personally think special teams, maybe even Practice Squad. I just haven't seen anything special about him as a football player. He does hustle like no other, but is very raw, it may take him a year or two to really make any sort of impact on the defensive side of the ball. But he is an interesting prospect.
