The math is based on the insurance companies own admissions. It's complex math (you really need to understand probabilistic statistics), but it's all accurate from what I can tell.

If you are TRULY sick, it's a coin-toss as to whether or not your going to have to coverage you need to get better.

For profit health care will never function well for it's primary (health care) purpose: providing insurance against expensive medical treatment. If you need expensive medical treatment, you're ****ed because you aren't profitable to the insurance company.

It's just that simple. It will never work as needed.
