im gonna take the approach that, any player stepping up and playing well is a good thing. just because we gave a first for smith does not mean he needs to get in there and be a gamebreaker this year, he WILL see the field but corners generally take a year or two to become really good. look at rodgers-cromartie, he sat for 8 games (i think) but came in and played well after that

Listen to yourself: You want your QB to start because he's good, or because
the other one is "bad" (which he isn't)? I'm a huge Larsen fan, but if other LBs
are better I want them in there instead of him.

I want the Broncos to be a better team. That cannot be done if one player is
starting only because the others blow.

Don't worry guys. Won't happen in regular season because teams will just run the ball into the endzone and it won't be 4th and goal too much.

I don't know, Patsys went for it on 4th and goal a couple times up 30+ points, it would be nice if we had that problem.

Just put Graham and Quinn in a double TE and set Hillis in the backfield and say,
"This is where we're going boys . . . you think you can stop us?"

While I appreciate the effort that goes into these TC reports that our fellow maners post--all we must do is reflect upon the glowing reports from last year regarding Domonique foxworth and how he was a 'Practice ProBowler' who ten proceeded to go out in every pre-season game and get smoked for big play after big play--the AZ game was truly disgraceful.......So--I'll wait until I see them play before I pass judgment--it was fun fodder in the off-season--now that the pads are on--I wanna see how they perform when the lights come on--ON NFL NETWORK FRIDAY AUG 14th OUR BRONCOS @ NINERS LIVE--9pm CST--should be fun.......

I've never heard it called that before but it's perfect.

And while I'm at it, if it were Alphonso Smith that picked the ball off and took it to the house things would be WAY different. It would be proof of his greatness, not just practice fodder.

Well not to mention to get a pick someone has to throw a pick. To a score a TD someone else has to give one up. To make a good block some other sap has to get plowed etc etc. When it's all your team every play is good and bad news at the same time.

I'm more concerned with how the team is practicing. It sounds physical, it sounds like football, and that sounds good to me.

It may take another offseason and draft to really fix the front 7, but you never know Broncos could get lucky on Fields, Ayers could be a stud, Crowder makes the transition, Doom finds a roll etc and all the sudden it might not be so crappy. Hell maybe even DJ can get a hop in his step with some bigger players in front of him.
