Anyone know about this crap?

We are looking to replace our heat pump/AC unit and were quoted prices for Payne, Bryant, and Carrier. I know Carrier owns all three but wanted to see if anyone knew if there was a huge difference between Payne (I guess is the bottom of the line) and Carrier....

Thanks.

Forgot to ask if there is one brand you would recommend?

Trane.

Damm good, quiet, and cools well. Efficient, low electricity use. Heats when outside temp is around 36 or so, no gas. I have the larger one (19). I do have a Trane furnacve as well, and th eset works nicely together. Can use Trane with other brand furnaces. Got great tax breaks, and rebates three years ago. Cbeck it out.

The more I have read, Trane looks like the better bet.
