OK, a couple of things are driving this. First, Req made a solid point that there was more to the drafting than just the Goodmans. Secondly, someone just pointed out that Schleuter has been impressive.

Does anyone know if our scouts remained in tact after the regime change? Id rather not try to track that down.

When the goodmans left they hired a new head of scouting. I think but am not entirely certain that the college scouts themselves stayed in place save for one or 2.

I think he replaces a scout that left after the Goodmans left. I could be wrong, but if I remember right, the scout that left was related to the Goodmans in a way. A brother of the younger Goodman, or something like that; but again, I could be wrong.

There was a pretty significant overhaul of the scouting staff. I remember talking this over with Med a while back. He suggested it wasn't much of an issue though. I think it's funny as hell that we (myself included) were raising hell about McD's draft board and how he wasn't secretive enough or didn't have enough players on there, or didn't do enough wheeling and dealing, etc. Now look at us, loving the picks so far. ;D

I told you all we were about to see the best of Coach McD.

It says he enters his first year of scouting with the Broncos in 2008. Maybe all of these pages are outdated?

Slow down! Its a little early for such proclamations. Also, some of the objections to the picks were driven by where/how they were selected.
