As much as it pains me to say.... Texas will be hard to beat this year.
USC and Florida both have the talent to win it too. I could see OU having somewhat of a down year, by their standards at least.
As always, there will be some other teams in the hunt.... Virginia Tech perhaps?

Southern Cow. I mean, they play nobody in the Pac-10.
Texas and OU have to play each other.
So do Ohio St, Penn St, and Michigan.
So do Florida and the rest of the SEC.
USC is the only team with their ticket punched for the championship game so long as they don't f--- it up at some place like Oregon or Oregon St. as they regularly do.

^I have heard great things about Cal this year maybe SC won't have such an easy run.

But I do agree USC never has much competition out there. I also feel that if Boise St wants respect and Utah wants the same than they should make it the PAC-12. You'd never hear of either school again outside of the USC highlight reel on sports center following the new annual ass stomping of either school

Oh yeah I forgot to mention my pick. It grieves me to say so but Florida is pretty much gonna lay waste to the entire FBS. Maybe they lose an SEC game.

^ I keep waiting for them to lunge forth and destroy the BCS babies but it dosn't happen. They had a good squad for a few years. How does WVU look this year?

Im not sure about WVU, i dont really follow them. But, with Noel Divine there they should have a pretty good year or at least on par with the last couple.

I have to apologize for earlier comments about Boise St. They Oregon the first week. It's about time they start scheduling something resembling a challenge

Look at the last decade, the Pac Ten has outperformed Big Ten by a wide margin in both head-to-head matchups and in bowl games.
If you are going to call out the Pac Ten for not having any good in-house competition, please don't mention the Big Ten as a conference with forimidable in-house opponents.

Florida plays only four of their 12 games on the road.
@ Kentucky
@ LSU
@ Mississippi St.
@ South Carolina
The trip to Death Valley will be tough, but it's still a favorable SEC schedule. They don't even play Alabama or Ole Miss in the regular season.
