One of the more amusing quirks of the “birther” movement is the quality of the legal minds in whom Obama birth certificate obsessives are placing their trust — and their occasional donations. Phil Berg (http://www.obamacrimes.info/), the original “birther” lawyer, has been forced to pay out sanctions for legal malpractice. Orly Taitz, famously, got her law degree (http://www.ocweekly.com/2009-06-18/news/orly-taitz/) from an online correspondence school. And it turns out that Charles Lincoln, who has been assisting Taitz — he provided judges with amended complaints (http://www.orlytaitzesq.com/blog1/?p=3117) in Keyes et al v. From the May 2004 issue of the California Bar Journal, which reported on the matter:

In 2000, Lincoln was convicted in Texas on a federal charge of falsely representing his Social Security number, a felony. As a result, he gave up his license to practice in the state.
Originally charged with five felonies, the case resulted from Lincoln applying for a checking account using a false Social Security number.
In a second matter, he was disbarred from U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas after a federal judge requested an investigation of Lincoln because two of his clients had a falsified receipt. The receipt purported to be from the federal court clerk and represented funds the clients had given Lincoln. The clients believed Lincoln was depositing their money in an escrow account related to their case.
Two days before a hearing by the federal court’s admissions committee, Lincoln went to his clients’ home, instructed them not to tell the judge that he gave them the receipt, which he asked them not to produce, and he gave the clients a cashier’s check for $6,000. He did not appear at the hearing.
In a previous lawsuit, the same judge determined that Lincoln was involved in discovery abuse and filed duplicative motions. The judge issued sanctions and dismissed the lawsuit with prejudice.
At the July 12 hearing on the Keyes complaint, Lincoln identified himself as a “law clerk.” The eyewitness report of that hearing is worth reading, since it contradicts with Taitz’s original, hilarious report (http://washingtonindependent.com/50719/obama-birthers-claim-court-victory-sort-of)of a judge who took her seriously. Actually, Judge David Carter spent a lot of time trying to get Taitz to stop wasting the court’s time with antics such as reading her complaint into the record.

Last night, omnipresent Obama conspiracy theorist Orly Taitz gave WorldNetDaily a scoop (http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=103918). Taitz, a dentist with a degree from an online law school, had finally found a judge — David O. Carter of the Central District of California — who would hear a case on the president’s citizenship.
She told WND that at today’s hearing, the judge issued no orders, but promised that the case would be moved forward and he would address the merits of the dispute. He said there would be no dismissals based on “procedural issues.”

The judge said as a former Marine he recognizes the importance of having a constitutionally qualified president … Taitz told WND, “For first time, we have a judge who’s listening.”
Unfortunately for Taitz, an actual reporter (http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2009/07/opponents-of-barack-obamas-presidency-claim-small-court-victory.html) from The Los Angeles Times followed up on the story.
Thom Mrozek, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, said that “the judge did make a bunch of comments about having the matter correctly and thoroughly aired, once and if they got to the merits of the actual lawsuit, which was not the subject of today’s discussion.”
The key word is “if,” Mrozek stressed. “We’re literally at procedural grounds at this point in time,” he said.
At a previous hearing, Carter had ruled that Taitz had not properly served the case on Obama. In Monday’s hearing, both Taitz and DeJute tried to prematurely argue the merits of the case. Carter, a former marine, told both parties that the case could easily be tied up for months or another year on procedural technicalities. A better approach would be for Taitz just to file the paperwork so that the case could proceed without more delays, the judge said.
The underlying fact here is that Taitz has no idea what she’s doing, and consistently files garbled, incoherent lawsuits stuffed with assertions and debunked rumors. Sometimes, after she does this, a judge will humor her and kick the can down the road. That happened again in California. But in the Birtherverse, this is being treated as a breakthrough.

What more do you really want Obama to do Bronx? He told them the hospital, town, county, and state he was born at. A copy of his birth certificate from that state has been obtained. the fact that he doesn't have the original doesn't mean squat, because I don't have mine, my wife doesn't have hers (neither of us has ever held them) and I guarantee you that we were born in this country.

The biggest problem here is that there is no proof that Obama wasn't born in this country, but there is definite evidence from state and hospital records that he was born in this country.

When McCain was running, there was a short movement claiming that McCain's Panamanian birth didn't entitle him to run for Prez, because the language of the constitution wasn't clear enough as to the US controlled land in Panama. That was retarded too.
