In an ongoing effort to improve our reporting quality, I wanted this thread to be about what we can do to make the camp reports this year better. All suggestions are welcome and we'll pick the most requested ones (that are doable). So let her rip! Don't be shy! what would you like to see more of? What could you do without? What is something new you'd like to see? What annoys you? What arouses you?

Can we tell Fred Fleming the kid kicking 24Champ tried biting McDaniels ankles so he'll kick him out?

If you can, can you draw quick pictures of how the defenses are lined up?

Nothing big, but maybe you could just sneak a GPS transmitter onto each player's jersey, then we could reconstruct all their movements and analyze the scheme and each player.

Positional focus is always great. The mainstream media doesn't do so much of that.

Details about coaching styles on both sides of the ball will also be interesting. (How much are we lining up in a 3-4 v. 4-3., etc.)

Some tweet-style play by play reporting would have been cool, even though not allowed. (Twitter.) Maybe something like that reported after the fact.

Reports on bubble guys (maybe with more focus) like Moss, Crowder, Powell, and the UDFAs from this year. Anyone standing out, etc?

The reporting is always good. I'm sure it will be again this year. Glad you're one of the guys doing it, Kaylore.

It would be interesting to know if and how the current defensive position coaches differ from previous regime.

I would love to get a report like an "In" vs. "Out" on the guys competing for roster spots....namely Moss, Crowder, etc...

I think that could lead to good discussion

Also, I want to have a "WWCD" report on each day...where you break down Orton's throws and then have a paragraph on "What Would Cutler Do"

How about a Twitter widget similar to the one found here: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ynews/ynews_pl607

Since both the OFF and DEF will be different systems than we are use to I do think alignment and who is playing where would be beneficial.

Also, there will be huge position battles especially at DL, RB, CB. So, positional focus would be awesome as well.

A couple things I'm curious about: Is Marcus Thomas lining up at DE at all? Where is WWIII lining up? Josh Bell or JMFW for the 4th CB? Most importantly, anything and everything you see happening at OLB!

I'm especially interested in the running backs and front 7 on defense. The mainstream media will already have Orton under the microscope.

X's and O's diagrams would be awesome. But I agree with the poster who said don't get caught up in pictures and twitter. Pictures don't mean much w/o red meat analysis.

I wish I lived in Denver so I could participate....

One of the main reasons I first stuck around this place was because of the camp reports, I am very jealous and appreciative of those who provide the reports.

A few quick suggestions:
1. Can you take pics, or do the Broncos allow that? If so, does your camera do a little... er, video?
2. Since they are so important to this year's team, a part of the report called "rookie watch" might be good. There are the obvious guys we will watch like Moreno and Ayers, but guys like Rulon Davis, Pedescleaux, Chris Baker, and Lee Robinson are interesting by-lines.

Otherwise, do 'yo thang - the reports are always great.

Watch it again and pay close attention towards the end when the cat puts his head back and goes all Stevie Wonder. I almost pissed myself.

what is peyton hillis doing? whos getting the bulk of teh carries, and who is relieving them?

is orton even throwing in front of champ? how is his long ball? how big are the running lanes, as in is the Dline holding their ground keeping the linebackers free?

You know, Peter King's "Ten things I think I think" would sure make writing a column a lot easier. It's a whole lot easier writing blurbs like that - then expounding if someone asked about them - than it is trying to write solid paragraphs.

The defensive front, who gets reps, how are they doing, how much 4-3 do we play and how much 5-2?

Secondary, especially the safeties, who is getting reps in which situations.

I agree with Popps that hearing about some of the young guys we don't know much about would be good, Moss, Crowder, Thomas, Powell, Torain, JMFW, Larsen.

Who is getting reps at RB and where are they playing Hillis?

It is so hard to evaluate QBs and WRs in camp, so I would be all right with hearing less about them.

I would like to hear about the coaches, most are new, how are they doing, are they in control, are the players responding, what kind of style do they have. This would be interesting if someone who has been to camp before could maybe compare a bit between the new regime and old the one in terms of coaching and style and drills.

I can do that for you...

Camp Day 1 - Clady looks awesome
Camp day 2 - Ayers gets a 'welcome to the NFL moment courtesy of Clady
Camp Day 3 - Jarvis Moss gets tossed around like a rag doll by Clady
etc
etc

There - didn't even need to turn up!

We don't need to waste time even looking at the O-line this camp - its the one part of the team that's totally set, so the only possible new is bad news (eg injuries etc). We need to direct the sterling efforts of our camp reporters away from the O-line and on to the other areas that are less certain.

For my part, I find its always better to look at how the players are doing relative to the competition at their own positions - the the defense overall looks good or bad, that may just be down to the offense being good or bad (plus 1st team D usually lines up vs 2nd team O and vice versa). What i want to know is how the positon battles are going between the competing players.

OLB will be key for the defense, as that's where the primary pass rush needs to come from, so I'm keen to see how Dumervil, Ayers, Crowder and Moss shape up in that respect.

I'm also keen to see if the likes of Thomas and Powell start to move up the charts as they get a handle on the 3-4 - Thomas in particular. He's been slotted into the second team for now, but it will be a major disappointment if he doesn't crack the starting lineup.

I'm also keen to see how much of a look Hillis gets as the starting HB. McDaniels says he wants to be physical so I reckon that gives him the inside track.

In general, however, it would also be really useful to hear comments on how the general conduct and style of the camp has changed from the previous regime.

But as always, I doff my cap to all of you who go to camp and give us these reports (even those of you who do it irregularly and not quite as well as the likes of Socal Kahn and the rest!!) all reports are awesome, and its always useful to see if different people have the same point of view on a player - particularly for those of us who have no immediate hope of going to Dove Valley ourselves in the near future.....

Focus on the Line play please.

If this team has a shot the Oline cannot afford to regress and the Dline needs to Impress.

A lot of us are interested in the development of the younge players, especially the rookies. Perhaps, one or two of those there (not sure how many, bummed I can't go but I maxed my CC out in Savannah and have a whopping 39.42$ to my name) can exclusively focus on the progression of rookie and first-year players throughout the week. Just a thought.

Anything you guys can bring is appreciated by me. Anyone who has been to camp and done some reporting knows how hot it is out there. Yes it's exciting but there is a lot of downtime and the guys who commit to being there day in day out could be making a living doing something else. Props in advance.

Oh ok here is one suggestion. Kick fred in the nuts for me.
