The joke in the south was people ordering an ROC Cola and a moon pie.

I am a northerner and never got it.

Pretty sure they still make them down here. See em' all the time at pretty much every conveniant store.

I don't think the RC cola and moon pie thing is a joke. It was just locally made and all the old timers ate them when there were younger. (I think)

Bronco in TN.

Yep. RC Cola and a Moon Pie. I always liked RC Cola although I haven't had one in years. You can find Moon Pies in any grocery store down here.

You can have my share of the moon pies.

Side note: I thought it was a combo of Grape soda and Moon pies

I used to help make moon pies. They're made at the Chattanooga Bakery in (obviously) Chattanooga Tennesee. I went to school down there and worked for them for about a year.

Let me tell you something about these things....I wouldn't eat one. LOL...for real, these things are nasty. I used to see people having dough fights and they'd scoop dough off the floor and toss it back into the bin where it went through the assembly process.

As a kid we ate something called "scooter pies"...remember this? I haven't seem them around for years.

I know a guy who claims to have worked in a Cinniman (how the **** do you spell that ****) plant of some kind when he was in college. He wont touch anything with that **** in it. Claims that by government standards a certain # of roaches in a "bin" was acceptable.

My girlfriend & I walked out of there with a bag of them, all different flavored. They had orange, bannana, choc. & others. With a couple bags of grape licorice, and all I went in there for was some beer batter for fried fish.

I have never, with the exception of restaurants, heard anyone say good things about a given food when they worked at the place it came from.

I, for instance, used to work at one of the main production centers for a certain brand of brat that is sold nation wide. Can't eat 'em anymore...

WTF I dont believe I'd care for used moon pies at any price.

Here is another issue i have

According to the site I can get 12 for $7.33 or 12 for 3.04???

I guess maybe that is the difference between new and used moon pies Ha!

I'll go the extra mile and pay the 7 bucks

Interestingly the shipping costs are about the same as the moonpies themselves even the used ones...I wonder how they are used? like do they take a bite out of them, lick them or dunno run over them with a car? Or are they used in the sense that like Twinkies they are made from recycled styrofoam?
