Thanks guys.

Nothing but just more speculation....

TRADES: Ravens still seeking a receiver?

It was repeated ad nauseum in the weeks leading up to the draft that the Baltimore Ravens were in desperate need of a breakout wide receiver to push them over the top. Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome obviously disagreed, as the team used its six picks on other areas.
The blog NFL Gridiron Gab opines that the door is not completely closed on a trade for Anquan Boldin or Brandon Marshall. Of course, the price for Marshall may be too high, and his persona might not be a fit for John Harbaugh's team. A trade for Boldin would make more sense, but likely won't happen until training camp or later.

I cannot see Ozzie doing it, he is way too smart to give up value for the ultimate risk/reward

Actually, isn't that what the Broncos would be doing? Trading Marshall (who has real, actual value to us) for the ultimate risk/reward (texbook definition of draft picks).

I heard we are trading B-Marsh for Haloti Ngata and Suggs. I heard that somebody heard that on the light rail (which we don't have in Oklahoma).

I head that to, except we would also receive Ed Reeeeeeeed in the deal for our next 10 first rounders and a diamond encrusted goblet

Why would we want to trade a 25 year old diva WR , for a 28 year old diva Wr with lesser talent ...

Because Boldin has been more productive and kept his nose clean.

Very arguable that BM is better. And you don't have to worry about it because Zona probably wouldn't even consider a straight up swap.

I find it so funny that anyone wanting to ship Brandon out would want Boldin in return. Both guys want out for the same reason, why not just pay the guy you have that is younger and has more potential?

Funny, when I quote you I can see the stats all lined up nice and ****. But in three seconds it will go back to being a mess. Next time just use a screen capture for both players and paste them into paint. Then save as jpeg and host at image shack. Problem solved.

Anyway, it's the NFL, players are going to go up and down throughout the years but so far Boldin has had better seasons and a couple worse. The TD's the last couple years really stand out.

The real question is not why not, but are you going to change your pic every day? How many Steven Colbert pictures are really out there for you to use.

Is anyone else just resigned to the fact that we will either have marshall or we won't and either way you don't care that much?

After 3 years they are about even but I have watched Boldin play quite a bit and he is able to get open in the redzone pretty easily and that is something that Marshall struggles with.

Why? The stats linked below say Boldin is the better player (9 in DYAR and 14 in DVOA compared to 42 and 58) and he doesn't have the off field issues. I'm fine with keeping Marshall, but if he wants to be traded and you can make this swap (which you probably can't) you do it.

Isn't Boldin 30? Not sure if I'd want to have a non-speed guy creepin into the end of his "prime"

Well you can have a 26 year old WR in his prime sitting in Jail/prison or at home on suspension instead.

haha I actually thought of how good Rod was before I typed that...I am not takign anything away from Boldin, and do realize marshall could be busted again..but boldin could blow out his knee...all are coulda woulda, so we really don't know..What I do know, if and I realize it is a big IF, Brandon does figure his stuff out, on the field..the dude is a top 5 WR just getting into his prime.

So Boldin waiting 6 yrs to pull the holdout, Marshall waited 3. And Bolding was a higher pick!!!!!!!!

I told you all Marshall just a really impatient man. He wants it all, he wants people to say he's changed, and he wants it all in a couple months of effort.

Hes played 36 months of football, and what like 6 months since I said I have changed. Give me a new friggin deal right now!!!!!!
