For me the missus leaves on a 4 day hiking adventure of the Grand Canyon including staying 2 nights on the canyon floor. Consequently the boys and I will be hanging out doing guy stuff. SF Giants game tomorrow night with fireworks, ping pong, swimming, and maybe some miniature golf. I guess this is all girl stuff too but since I have two boys it should be a fun father son weekend.

Might even drag them out to one of the local baseball fields and smack the ball around some.

You know how they say you can't OD on pot? I bet no one ever smoked a pile that big to try and find out!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've always thought it would be funny to have a party, invite a bunch of people, then have like every drug imaginable all over the house.

Especially all the cops I know......They would be the only ones who would think it was funny!!!!! seriously they would. Sometimes when it comes to knowing cops personally, I wonder if they even care about like 90% of the laws!!!! Rape, people shooting guns, child crimes yeah, but man when it comes to a lot of other stuff I don't think they give a ****.

Me and a friend smoked a ounce watching the movie JFK the first time i seen it ... We eventually just smoked myself sober . was a bummer . and a crap movie hehe.

Smoked a ounce rolled in one blunt while driving home from Wright State Unv. in this monster snow storm ... I was in a driving a Fiero and basically had to go 10mph ... But me and the same friend lit this thing leaving college and it was still going when we got home to Cincinnati from Dayton Hilarious! ...
Like 2 and a half 3 hours ....

Most I ever smoked tho in a day tho by far , and it wasn't mine and I'd never waste that much of my own weed in a day.
I'm like a one , two doob a day guy LOL ...

It would take so long to smoke a pile like that tho that you would fall asleep or just get bored and sober and goto bed long before anything bad happened ... Worst case you pass out from lack of oxygen ... LOL

Sorry I am not discussing drugs but got my 2nd 5k run in 23 years on the 4th, watch the town parade and f around until we take off to the Angels vs Orioles game. I always do baseball for the 4th if team is in town. It is so American to watch the pasttime and then see a great firework show.

You haven't celebrated the 4th of July until you've celebrated the 4th of July at the Freedom Festival in Provo.

Okay, that might be a bit of an exaggeration.

But, we have a family tradition in our little family every 4th. We stay at the Provo Marriott (any of you want to stalk me, you can find me there tonight :)), go eat at Brick Oven Pizza (a Provo staple, for anyone who's ever gone to BYU - so, pretty much Kahn and me, I think), get up and go to the parade, spend the day swimming at my In-Laws (down the highway a few miles), then go to the Stadium of Fire at Lavell Edwards Stadium.

It's incredibly cheesy. But it's fun - especially with kids.

How big of a dent to the wallet will this be??

$4,200 for 6 nights, which includes airfare, travel, and it's an all-inclusive resort (food, drinks, water sports, etc)

We got a $300 discount from being repeat visitors, but spent an extra $300 for airfare to leave from our small airport instead of leaving out a major city.

Not really that bad, all things considered.

We also got the cheapest room because they're all oceanfront.

What I love about this place is it's in the middle of a nature reserve, so there is almost nothing around. Very secluded so you can just walk the beach for seemingly forever, you don't have to worry about another resort 100 yards away. Plus you don't have to deal with peddlers and whatnot like some of the other resorts.

edit: oh, one more thing. tipping is prohibitted on the resort. So none of those extra costs - or headaches.

I'll be here BB. We had a great fireworks show last night. At a local high school about a block from my house. It usually turns out to be the best fireworks show in the valley. All my kids and their kids were here last night. Tonight, my kids are all going to my daughters house. I'm invited but I am staying home. Peace and quiet, I cannot wait. I'd come hang out with you BB if I were closer.

Ran the 5k in 23:12 which is 10 seconds worse than last year (i thought i was getting better in my "old" age"),Parade was nice and cheesy, I bbqd for the family then saw the Angels whip up on the Orioles (a lot closer game until the later innings) and with Vlads 3 run dinger, everyone gets free buffalo Wings at Claim Jumper today so the 4th keeps giving. Hope everyone had a safe holiday.
