So you're considering throwing your lot in with the Broncos?

You'd be a welcome addition to the neckbeard fanbase.

good point

on a side note, why does everyone assume just because Jay has a strong arm that he is good at the deep ball?

Granted he makes defenders have to cover more, but his deep ball leave a lot to be desired

I thought this was a decent post from the first link...

What's up with the "teh"s? Having some trouble typing today?

I don't know that Cutler is FAR superior. Orton wasn't that bad of a QB... he did a good job executing and holding down the fort until we could get someone that's a real stud in. It's just that Cutler is better at most things... just that much better. When you put it all together you have a pretty darn good QB.

The thing is... they both need to develop more. I think you have to admit that Orton improved a great deal to get to the point where you could leverage him for a trade and I think he does a little more with what god gave him than what Cutler has done to date. If he could improve his accuracy on the big throws he can be good... Cutler if he improves could be great... superior clearly but not far superior.

yeah he is pretty spot on .....................but the NFL network piece was pure crap , Wilcox mentioned it , but he down played it , about Cutler receivers coming back for the ball , I didnt see that on Ortons side .....
Yeah Orton doesnt have the arm strength , but for Wilcox ow video , you can clearly see Cutler had the better receivers ..........

Agreed, Jay really has a pretty average at best deep ball. His strength is the mid range passing game.

In comparison, Drew Brees who has never been known as a guy with a super strong arm has arguably the best deep ball in the NFL.

Mopey Jay dose suck but I'm with the Bear fans here Orton has to show me something before i even mention Cutler in the same sentence with him.

Remember they gave us two 1st round pick and Orton, not just Orton straight up.

If Orton ever hits his Prime he'll probably be like Brad Johnson in his Prime. But if Cutler hits his Prime he can be Favre.

I'm not mad and i hate beating a dead horse but in my opinion McD and Bolwen made a really bad decision trading Cutler. If Ayers or who ever we pick in next years draft don't become Pro Bowlers,The Broncos will become a sarcastic Punch Line for years to come.

I dont know , not to get all crazy here , but I like Ortons mechanics inthe pocket better , I am not saying Orton is more talented , but more solid in basics .......
I have seen Cutler take 5 seconds and still throw into double coverage ........ But more important the red zone , I was not thrilled or impressed with Denvers Red Zone offense , not blaming it all on Cutler , but like the Fumble against the Chargers , I am not saying QB's dont fumble , but man Cutler looked good until he got in the red zone , then he fell apart .........and there are other examples .......

I agree on almost everything...Besides Orton... I wouldn't put it by him that he can have a 3,500 yard season but Ive never seen Orton bring a team back.

Cutler brought us back many times but then again he had one of the best O-lines in the NFL also he had 3 years under Shanny's wing.

Lovie Smith isn't going to make Cutler a better QB then he was in Denver, but McD can make Orton Blossom into a 3,000 passer and probably could of made Cutler Blossom to a Hall of Fame QB.
