What former Broncos QB was drafted by Denver, played for Denver, was traded away for a #1 draft pick and won 2 Superbowls as a starter after being traded to another team?

Bonus points for guessing his main claim to fame.

I thought that too but he wasn't traded, he was cut.

It doesn't say that he was traded by the Broncos, just that he was eventually traded for a #1. I don't know if that fits Briscoe though.

Yes, the Bills traded him to Miami for a #1.

In 1971, the Bills dealt Briscoe to the Dolphins for a #1. He was a WR on the 1972-1973 Super Bowl championship teams in Miami.

I found an all-time Broncos roster ... it's gotta be Don Horn. He "won" two SBs as Starr's backup ... or did he?

Still, he's the only reasonable candidate...

I didn't say he was...I said he was traded for a #1 pick.

Yep...trick question.

Brisco was drafted by Denver in the 14th round, played and started here at QB, was released by Denver in 1969, then went to Buffalo where he played reciever became a pro bowler, and in 1971 he was traded to Miami for a #1 pick, which became HOF Guard Delamielleure. He won 2 Superbowls as a starting WR with the Dolphins, including the one in '72 with the perfect season.

He was the first black QB of the modern NFL era.

I'm guessing the trick here is that "coaching" this list of guys happened in the Pro Bowl or some college All-Star game. Hmmmmmm.....

I have one for you, Laker Fan. In what stadium did the Broncos become the first AFL team to beat an NFL team?

The stadium at the University of Denver (which no longer exists). I wasn't at the Bronco/Detroit preseason game in 1967 that you referred to, but I did listen to it on the radio. I went to a bronco scrimmage at the old DU stadium as a kid - it had a big semi-circle shaped grandstand on one sideline (one of the weirdest stadiums I've been in)
