I play online poker at Poker Stars (www.pokerstars.com) and at Full Tilt Poker (www.fulltiltpoker.com). Those are the two very best online gambling sites available to US players.

I prefer Poker Stars because they are the largest online poker room in the world and they have by far the best support staff. Every email I have sent them has been responded to within 30 minutes. No other poker site can come close to Poker Stars' support.

Full Tilt has a very slow support staff but what makes them appealing is they offer rakeback(you get something like 17-25% of the rake you pay the pokersite back at the end of the month). If you want rake back with Full Tilt You MUST sign up with a rakeback affiliate BEFORE you set up an account with Full Tilt. I can't get rakeback at Full Tilt because I set up an account before I heard of rakeback (they have me on a "list" to get it though ::) ). Full Tilt is the second largest online poker site out there for USA players, but it has nowhere near the volume of players that Poker Stars does.

I have an account at both places but play at Poker Stars more because they are the only online poker site that offers games like 2-7 Triple Draw, 5 card draw, No Limit 2-7 single draw, Badugi, 8 Game.... And you can always find a table to hop in at. Poker Stars also has the largest tournament fields out there so you get more bang for your buck. The only negative about Poker Stars is they don't offer rakeback, but they are the most trustworthy poker site out there.

If you have any questions just ask. I play a lot of online poker.

Other online poker sites like Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet have had some cheating scandals though so I wouldn't recommend them.

Poker Stars and Full Tilt have been clean since the beginning.

I haven't cashed out yet at either site (turned 45 dollars into 2,000 and I'm not stopping now!) but here are some threads about cashouts on Full Tilt Poker and Poker Stars.

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28/internet-poker/pokerstars-paper-checks-346351/

I first deposited using Epassporte which they no longer use, but if I want my money I can cash out and the checks should be at my house in a week.

If you have questions for Poker Stars email support@pokerstars.com and you should get a response fairly quickly

For Fulltilt email support@fulltiltpoker.com and you should get a response within 4 hours:giggle:

Here is some info for a first time deposit bonus at Poker Stars.
http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/promotions/bonus/
If you make your deposit from 00:00 ET January 1, 2009, use the code ‘Stars50’. To earn this bonus, you will simply need to play on PokerStars and collect the number of Base FPPs equal to 10 times the bonus amount. You have six months after your first deposit to earn all the FPPs you need to cash out your bonus. Visit the First Time Deposit (http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/promotions/bonus/first-time-deposit-100/) page for full details.

Here is the faq for the first time deposit bonus

Here is a search for a bunch of different rake back affiliates to go through for Full Tilt.
http://un.yhs.search.yahoo.com/avg/search?fr=yhs-avg&p=Full%20Tilt%20poker%20rakeback

Most of the time you signup for a membership at one of those rake back affiliates and they give you a bonus code that you enter when you make your first deposit at full tilt.

I wish I had known about rakeback before I started playing at full tilt :(

like BMarsh said..Full Tilt and Poker Stars.

Full Tilt will allow you to deposit directly with a CC, where Stars you will have to send a money order or a 3rd party site.

Bodog is okay also..I love the **** talking that goes on in the chat box there.

Online poker to me seems like it could be too easy for a couple buddies to get all the slots filled on the table and milk people that joined the group by talking on the phone. Too easy to cheat plus internet cut outs.

Poker Stars tries to hunt down people like that. Every hand that is played is stored and they have caught people "colluding".

People do use HUD's and they are allowed. A HUD stores every hand at the table you are at and gives you the playing statistics of other players at the table. If you play enough hands against the same person you can get the.... % of hands they defend the blinds, the % of hands they steal the blinds on the button, the % of hands they play, and a bunch of other stats. I don't use one, but a lot of people do at the mid level/high stakes.

This is exactly why I only gamble with my sons college fund.

If you play tournaments though it would be close to impossible to cheat. They have fields with 10,000 plus players in it and you will hardly ever be at a table with someone you know.

I can't get into internet poker. I need to be able to sit there and read the person...just playing the cards and averages seems dull to me. I play a $100 buy in no limit game every week with a regular group...there are a few rich people who play in the game, which always makes things interesting....lots of loose calls.

Call me crazy but, I think it's easier to read a person by thier betting patterns then it is with the look on their face, or their body language. Take a guy like Phil Helmuth for example.... He can sit in the same position no matter the circumstance (bluffing or a monster) so its hard to tell stregnth or weakness. Betting patterns are much easier to pick up on.

Dont know what the hell, but just got $3,100 in mystery deposits into my account. Some moron just wrote my account number down when they made the deposits.

So my question is, should I take that $3100 and play 1 $3,000 heads up game and hopefully win before the bank takes the money back out of my account?

Been using Bodog for awhile with minimal issues.

They have sportsbook and casion action as well.

Poker treats me well but the book can be an evil temptress.

I only play the $10-30 sit n go's.

Mininmizes my risk for the most part and people tend to donk pretty quickly.

Patience is usually rewarded...

I had taken a break from sports betting, but poker sounds fun. This thread is evil.
