Looks like the cowboys want to move Ellis. I wonder if they will cut him? If so he may be worth a look IMO. He can do some things in a 3-4 or 4-3.

But what's the deal on him? is he healthy?

The Dallas Cowboyshttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/mag-glass_10x10.gif (http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/05/21/cowboys-are-shopping-greg-ellis/#) have placed linebacker Greg Ellis on the trading block (http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2009/05/21/cowboys-shopping-greg-ellis/), according to Calvin Watkins of FanHouse.com.
Ellis, a first-round pick in 1998, is due to earn a base salary of $4.15 million in 2009. He has a cap number of $6.25 million.
The team also sent Ellis home from this week’s Organized Team Activities, presumably keeping him out of harm’s way to avoid owing his base salary in the event of a season-ending injury.

The Cowboys have targeted New England and Cincinnati as potential teams for Ellis. The Patriots have been interested in an outside pass rusher and were in the market for Jason Taylor, who has now signed with Miami. But the Pats have no interest in Ellis, according to one of the sources.

If the Patsies dont want him, he must be damaged goods..or too costly for his game.

Ellis has not been a good fit with Dallas and their 3-4, so not sure why the Broncos would want him.

Let them cut him before we make any go at him, there is no part of his 4 million salary I want.
