Well, I finally got my comma. A little over three years. :strong:

I just thought I would have a lil celebration thread for myself and get some ideas out of y'all since I am goin to Vegas this weekend.

I usually get out there once a year for the Soup but haven't been since the Pats/Eagles. Made a bundle on that one but not as much as when the Raitards got crushed (TB moneyline). :wiggle:

We are staying at The Mirage. They hooked up the rooms because I am such a degenerate, sicko gambler and I love their book.

Give me some fresh ideas of stuff to do when I am not blowing the mortgage... What shows should I check out? Where's your favorite sushi place(mine is at Caesars Palace btw)? Other good eats? Best place for a massage? :wiggle: Clubs? Golf courses? Etc.

Thx!

When I was in Vegas, I went to see Zumanity and it was a good show but usually reserved for watching with a partner. Lots of sexual inuendos and topless nudity. Good show though!

Oh yeah that place in Ceasars Palace has great Sushi, you sound like you know what's up.

Also Mirage has a good poker room, good place to stay.

I prefer MGM just because they treat me really well their.

I love poker and play it all the time here at the Indian casinos but for some odd reason, I have never played poker in Vegas. Good to hear The Mirage has some good poker rooms because that is where I plan on spending a lot of time. Anyone play cards anywhere else?

Stay away from this place after a few drinks and some gal you just met from god-knows-where from....

MGM has a big poker room. Watch out though some really really really really good players hang in Mirage and MGM. Make sure you know what you are doing.

That's one reason I like blackjack and craps, I just don't like playing poker the hours you need to get really good. If you are a good to really good player, then go 4 it. Me I'm a total novice and really the guys in the MGM room prey on people like me. I will play for a little bit, and win a little lose a little, but watch out because the place is full of pros.

Go downtown one night and do it old school. You won't regret it.

Thanks for the heads up. I can play but I'm no pro. Maybe I will try Caesars or a smaller casino. Chances are I will get lit up and believe I can hang with the pros. lol

Depends on what you want to play. I love the room at the Wynn. The only issue there if you are playing 1-3NL, they have no cap on the buy in, and its wierd to play with $3 chips. The limit games ther are fun. I've played 10-20 limit in that room, and always have a great time there. The Venitian has an awesome/huge room. Played a little Omaha and and in the Venitian big stack tourney there..pretty good value for a $500 buy in. Of course check out the Bellagio's room. ( I think its a little overrated unless you have like $50K to play in Bobby's room
Best place for getting wasted and playing cards..The Imperial Palace! In one night of playing 1-2NL there..I saw a guy throw his cards at the dealer (dealer doesnt even say a word, and asks the floor for a new set up) Won $20 and almost got kicked out by accepting a prop bet to run around the craps tables 5 times, sat at the same table/seat for 27 hours, drank about 24 beers, and finally saw some guy die by the front door.

Caesars and MGM both have pretty big poker rooms and a lot of good players.

One guys says Bellagio and I'm sure he is right. I have heard tons of high rolling pros play there. Poker just one of those games you will run into guys who have been playing a long long time and even if they aren't pros they will take your money if your not an accomplished poker player. It really is a skill and luck plays only a factor in it.

If you are going to play poker, try out the new Hard Rock Hotel with their bar/tables. I saw it in one of the poker mags and looks like a blast. As for the Imperial Palace, I think someone dies there everyday. Isnt that where the folks lore of the dead person under the bed? Grab a poker mag, find out the 2am tourneys (call to make sure they still run it as many are outdated) and play with the drunk donkeys.

Im prerry sure the dead hooker story is in line with the IP being shaped like a swastika. The old owner did have a birthday party for Hitler back in the 80s though

I had a blast out there. Sooo many hotties. I have never seen that many beautiful women in one place.

I absolutely dominated in poker. There were some good players but for the most part, they were just average. The best players were women. I took a pro for a $100. She was by far the best player I have ever played. A gorgeous mix race chick from DC that was dating Marcus Stroud. Stroud sat right next to me and wasn't much of a player but a cool guy. 6'6 320 is pretty damn big sitting a foot away. lol
