What,s funny is my 99 chrysler 300 only has 95 thousand miles on it, but all I have had to do was put oil and tires on the thing. No problems whatsoever. It's been a really good car.

Hmmm I probably won't have to. I'm on a plan to keep cars for 12 yrs, then get a new one. So according to my theory I can buy a new one sometime next yr.
I may push it a couple more yrs though because it's already down to being worth almost nothing. Like 3 grand at the most. So it makes sense now to drive it into the ground and see how much I can get out of it. I don't drive a lot, obviously, so that probably has a lot to do with it. I did have to replace the drivers electric window (200 bucks) and fix a head gasket once (friend did it for free).
If I had to do it over again I wouldn't buy a chrysler but not because it fell apart, it's because they don't hold any value.
My next new car will be a BMW I think.

I'm sure if I had put 150 grand on it already Meck I would have had some other problems. I'm not saying Chryslers great cars, I know they suck, I bought it because at the time it was a great deal and I could not afford a caddy, benz, BMW etc.
But the v-6 in it has 250 HP and the car moves well for a big car. I think the engine was pretty solid in those cars.

The 300 is one of their only great cars.

You can get one now really cheap.
I heard you can get the HEMI version 10 grand off sticker, maybe more.
Dodge trucks, full size giving them away at like 15 grand.
My Town & Country van has been great -- my dad had a FIAT, a spider, very fun, but lived up to the reputation those cars had of breaking down.

Because it is a 1990's Merc e-class in disguise.

I had a 1974 Fiat 128 that I bought brand new when I was in the Navy,
and that thing was constantly given me problems. It spent one whole
winter in my parents back yard because the wiring burned out when
it turned on the heater. When spring came along I did get around
to rewiring it and got it running again though. It was kind of tricky
because the wiring diagram was in Italian, but I knew enough
Spanish to figure out what the colors were. On the plus side,
it was good on gas, burned leaded regular, and you could wind
the hell out of it. Got in a drag race with a Mustang and
was beating the guy until I missed a shift and it popped out
of gear. Wouldn't buy another one though. There is a reason
the stopped selling Fiats in the US.

FIAT isn't the same as the 70's though. But they will have to win over the American market. They have a bad reputation.

I wanted one around 1975, they were going for like 1600 . Dad quickly smirchd that idea.
I also looked at early 60's vettes, they were like 2000. Wish I'd bought a dozen and put em on blocks in a barn.

If you want a Fiat, but an Alfa Romeo Brera. Fiat engine and drive train and a few other bits and pieces, but it is gorgeous.

I don't think they'll be able to on the Fiat name period. They'll rebadge products just like when Cadillac came out w/ that god awful Catera (one of many examples). I believe that was a rebadged Opel...™
