Well i took my existing highlights, took the best highlights out of those and put them together. Obviously highlights arent "knew" since they happened a few months ago.

anton, do you run draft party?

These are great!

Moreno is going to be an elite running back in the NFL.

Ayers will be force that we haven't had in years as a pass rusher.

Smith has the skills to play corner, but will have to deal with bigger recievers and adjust to NFL speed.

Favorite Zeppelin song right there.

Presence is a tour de force of great rock and heavy blues. It's tragic that Zeppelin has so many great songs that go unheard on American radio. Hell Achilles is a 10 minute song and like many Zeppelin tunes, it's got a lot of depth and power.

Moreno does not have great speed. He is a thumper with some speed. Good size and seems to have good lateral moves, good vision. Makes people miss. I think he will be a great compliment to Hillis' banger style. If one of the other guys can do an immitation of a speed guy, the Broncos could have a decent stable of running backs.

While I don't question the accolades heaped upon Smith, he looks awfully small to me. I am reminded that Williams was not a big guy, and there are several CBs who have made some impact even thought they were smaller CBs, I must admit to my deep prejudice against midget CBs. I think they get beat the h3ll up more than the bigger guys. IF he is a nickel back, then it may work out okay, but I am less impressed with Smith.

Ayers looks like a pressure pass rusher. By that I mean he may not get the sacks, but the QBs will know he's there, and at least hear the grunts. Can cause some hurries, and maybe help set up some TOs. If he is pressuring from one side or the other, someone else is having a clean shot one on one from somewhere else. Run D will be the real test for him.

It will be interesting to see how the D comes together in a game next fall.

Yeah, like Dwight Freeney found, the spin won't always be there.

Oh, wait.

I love how many read the 40 times from draftscout and claim that Moreno doesn't have great speed. He may not clock fast on a track but on a football field the kid has speed.

I agree. From what vid clips I've seen he has plenty of burst and quickness.

no doubt...and against the toughest defensive conference in the country...

he's not the top graded back coming out for nothing...

I like Moreno and Ayers. I think they were very good selections. I do not like Smith. Sure, he will be a good nickle back and he'll make some plays...but as these highlights show...he'll get burnt just as many times.

He compares to both Darrent Williams (GRP!) and Pac Man Jones. I don't think he was worth our #1 next year...that is for sure.

We could have sent that #1 to the Cardinals for Dockett pehaps.

Speed is so over rated at the RB spot. It's all about having the wiggle needed to fit through small holes and the stamina to finish every run. It's about vision and anticipation. He looks plenty fast to me to make big big runs in the NFL. He may get caught from behind by cornerbacks and safety's here and there but i doubt too many linebackers run him down.

I think he's fast enough to beat the linebackers, and big enough to punish the dbacks, that all that really matter IMO.

going one on one in practice with WR is pretty tough. The fact he wins a high % is really good. I could see though if you haven't watched a lot of football practices that you might think that.

He's honestly going to be much better then Darrent Williams from what I have seen. This kid just has incredible hands and knows how to jump routes.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him grab 5-6 interceptions in his rookie yr.

anyone else see a little LT in Moreno?
he doesn't have the track star speed LT had, but he has the agility and shiftiness, ability to lower the pads and deliver a blow that LT had in his early years.
SIDE NOTE: without Moreno, no way would Stafford have been the number 1 pick in this draft.

in 5 years Ayers is going to be known as a premeir defensive star in this league. dude is going to be a beast. he is going to be good this year, but he is going to become a monster after a few years in the league

i love the Smith pick. this guy is already our Nickel corner and by the end of the season he will be starting opposite of Champ.
3 or 4 inches taller and he would have been no doubt a top 15 pick in this draft.

On the topic of Alphonso Smith, I was thinking that perhaps the reason that McD made the trade was because he knew that he needed a young CB with Champ and Goodman aging. He looked to next year's first round CBs and did not like what he saw. There is that guy from Kentucky, Lindley, and I guess Arenas out of Bama. Nothing special... So he decided to roll the dice with this intelligent, hard working ball-hawk. CB better have been a damn important position for this year because next year is stacked with defense (D-line and Safety are loaded, and then you got Brandon Spikes and I am a huge fan of Rennie Curran).

Firsts bust all the time, especially CB's. I still think it was a great move to pay a 1st for a 1st round, 2nd year CB, paid at a 2nd round price. Either way, it's the draft and its a crapshoot. this way we save money, and have returns sooner. Extremely smart business move.

But who cares about money? Why do the Broncos need to care about money? I liked Alphonso even before the draft but I think it was a huge mistake to trade next years #1. McD should have just traded up using the 3rd and 4th rd picks. Did he really need 2 safeties and another blocking TE?
