I have the utmost respect for LSU, but I have no interest in watching the Sugar Bowl. The thought of watching OU in the national title game after that ugly display against KSU makes me want to vomit.
It reminds me of Nebraska going to the Rose Bowl against Miami after getting steamrolled by Colorado couple years back. I have never understood how a team could play for a National Championship if they can't even win their conference championship???
Anyways, the Rose Bowl is the game to watch this New Years. Classic Big Ten/Pac 10 matchup. Michigan would be a national championship threat in a playoff system and argubly is playing as good of football as anybody in the country.
God bless the Rose Bowl. The Grand Daddy of them All. Can't wait to hear Keith Jackson's voice and see the beautiful San Gabriel Mountains on New Years Day.

Gotta think that the better matchup will be USC-Michigan but the suprise game of OU-LSU has the potential to be a good one too.
LSU actually has alot of team speed and matches up well with OU's defense. Not to mention that qb mobility seems to be the key to beating OU's scheme.
Michigan is already being taken WAY too lightly by the local homers here on SoCal radio. Many are forgetting how good they are. I would think that this game could be a bloody matchup for USC if they aren't prepared.
Now, what the hell happens if LSU and Michigan win? God I hate the BCMess...

Haha Fiesta bowl? I don't call Sprolles and Roberson running down the field on that exposed defense a good game. ;)

The NCAA asked USC to take it easy on Michigan, so only expect your team to lose by about 28 points.

Wrong, Den. The Rose Bowl is by far the best and most intriguing matchup because this game provides validation. Everyone, me included, has been skeptical all season just to how good USC “truly” is. Are they a product of their schedule or are they the “real” deal? Michigan has great talent on both sides of the ball—a great offense and a great defense.

Not really, had we won we'd be in the Sugar Bowl first off, and I wasn't all eaten up about not going to the Rose Bowl last year either.

LSU would be #1 at least in the coaches poll. They have to put the Sugar Bowl winner at #1. It's a new rule. I think it's a bunch of BS, but I was here arguing for playoffs weeks ago.

Why is there such a big hub bub about who is in the BCS championship?
Maybe I dont have all the facts straight, someone correct any part that is wrong here.
How many teams did OU face that are going to a Bowl game this year?
Conversely, how many teams did USC face that are going to a Bowl game this year?
What was final schedule? Equal one loss apiece, same amount of wins...whatever it was right?
BCS doesnt care when the loss occurs so if it happens in a Conference championship game its the same as if it happening on opening day correct?
If the above is true and OU faced more opponents going to Bowl games than did USC then why should OU be dismissed because they lost the last game and USC lost a game earlier in the season? There are no playoffs in college and the BCS arrangements were agreed upon by people that needed to agree upon it.
What we have here is a case of the whiners in California. USC is not a superior team to OU, period. The Big XII is ten times harder than the whatever conference USC is in because the Big XII is sending what...8 teams to Bowl games this year? COME ON! OU had to fight tooth and nail with the best in the country all year and you want to deny them the title game because they got blown out the last game of the season?
Maybe Im wrong on this. Maybe some of the stuff I said I misheard or misread or whatever, but OU and LSU are the teams in my opinion that deserve to be in teh Championship game. If USC wanted a better shot, they should have picked a tougher schedule (it is my understanding that Colleges get to pick their schedules right?).
