On april 27th, creed announced a reunion and subsequent tour. They are currently working in studio on an albumn to be titled Full Circle. All the original members, including Brian marshall who was the first to leave the band, are back together. creed is my alltime favorite band and this has been a long time coming.

ORIGINAL CREED LINE-UP OF SCOTT STAPP, MARK TREMONTI, SCOTT PHILLIPS AND BRIAN MARSHALL PLAN SUMMER TOUR AND NEW ALBUM

April 27, 2009 - Orlando, FL - Creed, one of the most successful rock bands of the past decade, has announced all four of the original band members are back together for a summer tour and new album. Since their formation, Creed has sold close to thirty-five million albums and millions of concert tickets.

The songwriting team of Stapp and Tremonti are considered one of the most prolific in rock history. Their collaborations delivered numerous chart-topping records that are a testament to the enormity and success of Creed. The band was the first act to have seven consecutive number one rock radio singles, four of which came off of the debut album. Their third album, Weathered, tied The Beatles Anthology, for the most consecutive weeks at Number One on Billboardís Top 200 chart (eight weeks since the beginning of the SoundScan era (1991).

The bandís debut, My Own Prison, was released on August 26, 1997 and has sold over six million copies in the U.S. The follow-up, Human Clay, was distributed on September 28, 1999 and certified Diamond for sales in excess of 11 million copies. The bandís last studio album, Weathered, was released on November 20, 2001 and sold six million plus. In November 2004, Creed Greatest Hits was released, and has sold two million copies. The band was voted Favorite Group in 2003 on the Peopleís Choice Awards and won numerous American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards and others including the Grammy Award for best Rock Song in 2001 for "With Arms Wide Open."

On reuniting, guitarist Mark Tremonti stated, "We're all very excited to reconnect with our fans and each other after six long years." Drummer Scott Phillips added, "Our career as Creed came to a very abrupt and unforeseen ending. After reflecting on some of the greatest personal and professional moments of our lives, we've come to realize that we are still very capable of continuing that career and our friendship on a grander scale than ever before." Bassist Brian Marshall continues, "This is a development we are all happy about. It has been a long time since the four of us have taken the stage together, and without hesitation or reservation this is something all of us are in to. The anticipation to get back out there is electrifying. Singer Scott Stapp concluded, "Its amazing how life can change and bring you full circle. Time gave us all a chance to reflect, grow and gain a deeper appreciation of our friendships, artistic chemistry, passion for music, and sincere love for our fans! It's rare in life to get a second chance to make a first impression and we embrace the opportunity. We all believe the BEST IS YET TO COME!"

The band has also teamed with I Love All Access to provide a variety of VIP ticket packages for the tour, including premium seats, meet and greets, photo ops, parties and more. For more information visit www.ILoveAllAccess.com.

I never cared for Creed much. And never liked Stapp's jESUS bend. They are better than most of the "new metal" garbage that's on the radio now though.

Check what Hank has to say about Creed at about the 3:00 mark. Love it, Henry Rollins is awesome.

Sweet, time to break out my black t-shirt, goatie, and sing a bunch of chick songs with a 'hard' edge in my voice so I seem tough.

The dude is a little self absorbed but Creed had some good songs. many of you like really hard stuff so I'm not surprised it's too candy assed for you. One thing i have noticed about hard rock fans though is they tend to devalue other music that isn't as hard as they like. Creed had some good hooks in there songs which is why they had so many hits.

Do yourselves a favor and listen to some jazz, maybe it will spark some cell growth in your brains!!!!!!

+1

I really liked Creed. They were very/are very talented and their music bridged alot of gaps. At the same time, I'd rather eat out a bull's ass than listen to Iron Maiden, Judas Priest or any of that other heavy metal crap.

But when it comes down to it, you don't sell 35 million albums and have nine #1 singles if you suck. No one can deny Creed's accomplishments.

I liked Creed's first two CD's(My own Prison, Human Clay)...then Weathered came out...then the complete fall out of the band occured.

I already have enough concerts to go to during this summer and Creed is more of an afterthought to me now so I doubt I'll be attending their concerts.

My current summer concerts in which I'm attending:
May 3rd(TONIGHT!)- Music as a weapon 4 featuring Chaimara, Lacuna Coil, Killswitch Engage and DISTURBED!

June 21st- Dropkick Murphys and the offspring-mainly going for DKM, but I'll stick around fro offspring as well, seen them once before with Korn.

July 21st- Cruefest 2- Couple of crap bands then Godsmack and Motley Crue to tear the place up!

July 31st- Marilyn Manson and Slayer with Killswitch Engage, Bullet for my Valentine, Trivium, and Cannibal Corpse opening

The lead singer trying to appeal to the ladies does not make them a "chick band". They have several up-tempo songs. "With Arms Wide Open" is just their token ballad. Seemingly, every band has a token ballad. Creed is awesome. I might go to the Kansas City concert in October...

Why is it heavey metal fans always make gay jokes about softer music. I'm starting to wonder if maybe heavy metal fans are over compensating for something. Or maybe they were just molested by a dude who played the Bee Gee's in the background while fondling their junk in the early 80's.

In any event just to let you all know music can not be gay. Creed obviously had a good formula because they had a ton of hits.

What about the old band Queensriech? is that the right name? They were sort of that anthem, high voiced singer type poppy metal. Did you hate them as well?

Listening to music is one of my hobbies i still collect records if that says anything i have my tastes and i can see what some bands are marketed for kinda like nickleback ( nuff said) just not my cup of tea ok.

I'm not him, but on my iPod right now I got punk, country, easy listening, folk, hip-hop, rap, metal, pop, rock, reggae, and stand-up comedy. Being open-minded, I also say Creed blows. Their music is so cliched and it's so incredibly fake. And not fake even in an innocent Britney Spears (or whatever of the moment pop-star) way, but in the obnoxious faux ''i'm real'' way. Ughhhhh.

It's that whole quasi-religious vibe...the very same kind of arua that U2 has had since The Unforgettable Fire, that's really offputting to me. It has nothing to do with musical softness, heaviness or whatever else.

now that is a critique of the art that I can accept. But to just say a bands music is gay to me means the person isn't a deep thinker.

I just checked my library and all I have is MY OWN PRISON, just that one song. I'm listening to it right now.

I have to say the dude has a unique voice. The overall musicianship doesn't seem like it's at a super high level. The guitars distortion sound is a bit cheesy IMO. Guitar player is super average at least from what I hear on this song.

Honestly though I have to say i think the singer is pretty talented but at this point hasn't shown me if he has range. I would have to hear more.

It sounds like the drummer has trouble keeping his high hat going even 8th notes when he does his double bass kicks which to me means he's pretty average.

I have to agree as far as that song I probably wouldn't be a super big creed fan, but it didn't scream gay to me.

I think I will listen to some Little Feat and wash that out of my ears.

I can understand getting turned off by that. I get really turned off when musicians get too political or religious. If you want to be political in your message that is fine but IMO it should be subtle.

That's what I love about Jazz, usually the only message is we kick ass on our instruments and know every chord and scale known to man. Superb musicianship is what cranks my wheel.

this is not a heavy metal vs rock debate. This is a good band vs bad band debate....just because you have hits does not make you a good band. Creed is a rip off of Pearl Jam with out the poignant lyrics...
