Damn good stuff. He may not come off well at presser and discussing pissy QB's, but damn that's a Football coach on that video.

He should put on the pads and show them how to tackle to

I think our defense forgot last year, might need a reminder

I took it to mean that his offense many little parts and wrinkles that need to be learned before it's a whole.

He reminds me of John Gruden when he was younger with his coaching style.

Any mic'd session of Gruden in action always cracks me up. I'm sure its effective to a point from a players perspective - he's tough, but at some point I think the player would shut down.

It's always funny to hear though.

Just from that small take, I can tell that Cutler would not have made it out of camp. "From under center. We never throw em from the gun." Cutler would have ran out crying.

He's definitely the anti-shanahan aside from being offensive minded. I don't know whether that means 0-16 or 18-1 ;), but I doubt we are in for .500 this year.

It's going to be interesting, and I will be on the bandwagon until the next OM meltdown.

Oh my God, McDaniels is a complete loser. He didn't defend a single pass that entire practice. They were right there!

Seriously though. Say what you will, the Kid looks like a man to me.

Thats why Gruden lost his job in Tampa, the players stopped buying it.

But thats an example of how long it takes, i.e. fairly shortly after the winning stops. Another thing with Gruden, age has done nothing to temper him. Shanahan was a fiery SOB early in his career too, but he tempered that with age (maybe too much).

I know we can't do too many videos becuse there are a lot of secrets in practice, but I wish we could see a lot more of this type of stuff.

Excellent!!

I was thinking the same thing while watching that. I was like... is that a lineman? No, it's last year's starting running back.

I think my biggest concern with McDaniels is how he'll deal with adversity. If the Broncos play poorly early, and the fans and media really turn on the team (not that it can get a whole lot worse than it is now, but I'm sure it can), I'm not sure how he'll react. The Patriots have been good almost the entire time he was there. He seems like a guy that expects to win. Will he be able to turn things around if we lose?

he set himself up for this he had better have skin of a Rino. because I still say he will be lucky to go 4-12

Sadly more than few crackpots on here feel he can't.

There are a lot of people that question his people skills...or his player personnel moves....I am not sure there are a lot that question his skills as a coach.

I personally think he was given to much power...especially as that was one of the knocks Bowlen stated on Shanny at the end.

However, I am truly excited to see his Xs and Os.

I agree. He seems like a great coach and has great attention to details. I love that he lined up at CB in those receiver drills.

Orton seemed a bit inaccurate in the drill though. I am not too concerned.

They were alternating throws between Orton and Simms.
