At least the Jets are playing the game anymore. Took GB 3 years to finally get it. lol

Would Madden also come back?

And I would rather have Orton than Farvererere, Orton will put the team 1st and that is what McStalin wants, it is not a bad concept as long as the FO does not lie to the team (or players on the team).

Maybe (Just Maybe) he wants to sign a one day deal with the Packers and retire a Packer and get the fan fare and publicity?

Minny might take a look at him. It is funny though. Hopefully he gets the sort of end to his career he so deserves.

Same old, same old for Brett. You know, he just wants to win. He doesn't want to like, go to training camp or anything like that, but he sure wants to win...

Thank God. I was getting tired of seeing NHL and NBA playoffs highlights on Sportscenter. Along with MLB highlights they just couldn't seem to fill up the hour, now all that crap can get bumped for Brett Favre 24/7.

I think the Jets really misplayed this. They're in the opposite position of the Packers. The fans either don't care or dislike the guy. They have their QB. Sanchez is the man. If Favre doesn't want to come back, fine. If he does, the Jets are under no obligation to take him back. There's no PR hit of making an icon sit like there was in GB. If I'm the Jets, I keep his rights. If someone wants to give something up for him, I gladly take it. If not, he can suck it, and my entire fan base doesn't give a crap as they watch Sanchez.

I guess they could've held his rights for a few months, but they would've had to do this eventually (once mandatory roster cutdowns begin in August). Roster spots are too valuable to have one taken up on a "retired" player.

what's sad is you not realizing that Orton is a good QB...

what have you seen from Favre last year that makes you think he was better than Orton last year?...it just makes absolutely zero sense....

what a ridiculous statement...

I bet Brett seriously considers coming back . . . he's got the same HUGE ego as Michael Jordan, Emmitt Smith, Lance Armstrong . . .

These guys have to be in the spotlight. They just can't face it that there time is over. Completely selfish.

Brett is going to drive his family nuts for another 3 months about signing with an NFC North team like the Vikes . .

read the link in the original post.

"Last August, when the Packers traded Favre to the Jets, the deal mandated that the Jets would have to give up three first-round picks if they traded Favre to Minnesota or any other NFC North team."
