I would like to see everyone go back and post their opinions on Eddie Royal, Marshall, etc when they were drafted.

Otherwise, no one has any credibility (myself included).

This draft is only relevant until players get to play, yet people continuously bitch about **** that hasn't happened.

Stop being a fan then...or get a job as a player scout/GM or buy your own damn team and run it your way.

We all have trashed picks in the past and were proven wrong. I didn't think Marshall was going to be anything more than a backup. Kuper I thought was a reach... I also didn't think Royal was more than a track star...

All we are really is fans sitting at a keyboard thinking we really know something.

Rhymsayer is just trying to be the chair of the naysayers....we had a very solid draft talent wise some of the best athletes in the draft will be in orange and blue - but we gave up a hell of a lot of value for it.

We've had a top 5 draft in the NFL for 2 straight years, McD mortgaged the farm to keep that fatal trend going.

Dude, do some research on the players. They are solid. People always freak out if we don't get one of the HYPED players, but the odds of the hyped players working out are no better than the non-hyped players.

Seriously, watch some video of their games.

i know i wasn't high on Royal in the 2nd last year. i thought we reached a lot on him and was thinking he was a return guy at best.

because of that, i am holding off on calling anything bad on anyone we drafted this year.

my only problem is what we gave up on a few guys(not talking about Smith, i think that was a good move) but the players themselves i actually like.

Are you including 2007 and 2008 as top 5 drafts? I don't think 2007 comes close--it was a very poor draft. 2008 was very good. 2006 was very good.

2009 could be a good one too. Time will tell.

its very, very hard to DISLIKE the players weve taken. if you look purely at the players added, we did a HELL of a job, thats almost undeniable. the question is: did we reach too high on some, or give up too much for them? maybe, well see. but as far as who we added to the team, im very happy. food for thought: no more vernon fox or marlon mcree.

Well put as everybody knows but fails to address ( during the draft) all logic seems to be thrown out the window. The draft is a crap shoot it always will be but it seems some folks have an agenda when it comes to the new coaching staff and whatever they do is never going to be enough ( we know who you are) so don't be changing your tune when some of the draft picks pan out.

I won't make a judgement on this draft until two-three years down the line.

I know one thing, either Orton or Simms will have a lot of weapons to work with in this offense.

The secondary is now fortified and main concern is obviously the DL.

the Dline may not be in bad as shape as we think. a lot of unknowns for sure but thomas, powell and peterson could move into the 5 technique pretty easily...

Yeah, they have bodies. I want to see how they do. I think they want to have bodies that they can rotate in and out.

I'm just glad we traded away a Top-5 pick next year for a short little cornerback.

Bowlen is broke. This is all money driven, and it stinks something awful.

But hey, I forgot that this is the Mange, where the Broncos go 16-0 yearly.

Oh and look, I realize that Moreno will probably be good. But then what the f*ck was the point of signing 3 RBs in the offseason if none of them were going to play? Our time and money could have been spent on other (defensive) players.

Not a single thing that has gone on makes any sense. And to top it off, we drafted a QB simply because he has the same initials as Tom Brady. Sweet.

I was expecting to see us draft a lot of d-line early but I'm happy with the guys we got. I do like how it's seems we are drafting BPA rather than reaching for players based on position. I feel like that's what we did with J. Moss for example. We felt that we absolutely needed DE so we reached for him and it hasn't panned out.

Have some faith, brother. Regardless of what you think about McD he knows a hell of a lot more about football, this years team and the draft prospects than any of us. I'm hopeful it will turn out to be a good draft.

I was thrilled to see Royal, Marshal and Schefler drafted. I thought the team was going to get into the playoffs in Cutler's third year. The problem was the players were good enough but as a team we failed. Shanny's last year was a comedy of bad decisions including the annual amnesia about defense.

The bottomline is until McD fields a team we do not really know what to expect. A team is more than the sum of it's players. Personally I do not have a lot of confidence McD but I want to see what his teams look like on the field before I come to any strong conclusions about him.

That's if we KEEP "this system"... since McChange has already stated that what he did with the Pats in terms of the run game was like his baby (btw it wasn't the same as the Broncos historically famous zone blocking scheme), though it does have some zone.
