Is there any way to delete all the threads from before a year or 2 ago and get rid of some of the other forums to make it run faster??

yeah, but then we'd be missing out on a lot of OM history. Perhaps we could just make them accessible but uneditable.

I just would have expected the site to be locked down to members only during the draft and a couple days afterward and that's some tasty slow TDmvp.

I completely agree I have donated over 150 dollars over the years and have endured endless site crashes when you want to be here the most (after games & the draft ) It would be easy at crucial times to limit usage to members only. I even started a thread several days ago to try and avoid this problem. I appreciate the work TJ has done here but if he won't do the simple things to keep the site running when we need it most than I have donated my last dollar to him.

The only question I have , cause I know running this place can't be easy IS
what does broncoforums do different ? Is it just they spend more or what ?

edit : and that place gets no where near the traffic this place does I think , so I know that does effect it ...

Agreed Bronx.
really ruined the draft for alot of posters cause theres 8 trillion sudden fans that show up. Oh well. there was a thread about this a few days before the draft, but TJ must have ignored it.

Don't take this the wrong way taco but it seems we don't do the simple things to get the most out of what we have, let the lurkers and brand new members that sign up ( just before the draft) sift through a 1000 posts if they are that interested. I just get frustrated when it take 5 minutes to switch between pages and posting something takes 10 minutes.

I get the distinct feeling TJ is over at the Seahawks site, checking out a new jersey. ;D

What more you want from the guy...he unpluged Sigs (except for his MODS) he unplugged Avatars, he unplugged his kids litebright.

He's tried everyway to keep it running with limited resources for many years.

We don't get as many people. We topped out at around 300 at the peak yesterday and bounced between 150 and 270 or so most of yesterday and today.

I'm way overbought on the server (estimated it can handle 700-100), and have stayed way ahead of the curve as we have grown and changed servers.

Maybe it's time to sell the board to someone who can do it justice. I'm sure Taco could bank.
