Why are we drafting Offensive Line, I guess we need depth but we need depth on the DL.
Seth Olsen Iowa 6 5 305
The Good: A versatile lineman with the body type and flexibility to line up at both the guard and right tackle spots. Is a natural bender for his size with good lateral foot speed and body control in space. Possesses long arms and does a nice job keeping defenders off his body. Exhibits a compact punch with a quick recoil and sets very quickly. Is a technician inside with good hand placement. Won’t have any trouble learning NFL blocking techniques, thanks to Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz.
The Bad: Even though he plays with good bend for a 6-5 guard, he lacks base strength and can be jolted at the point of attack. Needs to put on more weight and muscle to help add to his lower body. Gets stonewalled too easily at the point of attack and struggles getting any kind of movement as an in-line run blocker. Lacks body control in the second level and has trouble consistently hitting a moving target.
