So let's go back to the second round, where today's draft went horribly horribly wrong. Denver trades away a 1st round draft pick for a second round pick. I am here thinking that the only player that justifies that is Ron Brace.

We know that we need a nose tackle. The rest of the world knows it as well. Two nose tackles in the draft BJ Raji and Ron Brace. So instead of trading that pick for Brace in the third, or even using the first round next year plus this year to move up far enough to grab BJ Raji before Green Bay, we blow it on a corner.

And this is where it becomes greek tragedy. In a move that I am sure unleashed a torrent of swear words in Dove Valley, The emperor, Darth Bellichick moves up with two picks and grabs Ron Brace, as a special **** you to McDaniels. After all, he has a NT. Now we don't.

On top of it, we then go blow the pick on Darcel McBath in kind of a half panicked response to being screwed. And to add insult to injury, we somehow feel like it's a good idea to trade back into the disastrous second round, and get a TE that has a grand total of 12 receptions.

Welcome to the draft McDaniels. You are Crazy Smart, or Crazy Stupid.

You assume the Broncos even liked Brace, which since they didn't trade up in the 2nd to get him and went with a CB, obviously wanted Smith more than Brace and likely feel can still get a NT later close in talent to Brace than a CB close in talent to Smith. I know this might make too much sense however. Just because you like Brace doesn't mean they did.

At least we weren't the Raiders~!

Mayock thought the Broncos came away from the draft
with very good players today.

If the Patriots liked Brace then we should have. The End.

We needed help up front.

We could have gotten Brace with our trade up AND Jerron Gilbert with the final pick in the 2nd round over ****ing Quinn.

Or maybe Josh didnt think someone else would make a move for Brace.

the OP is all over my thinking on this day.

I guess we arent the Raiders. That used to make me feel better but after today, it isnt a large enough consolation.

You can't read. Again, how do you know the Broncos even liked Brace? Just because they need help at NT they HAVE to like Brace? Try making sense today.

I would be willing to forgive this second round if we hadnt dumped our two third round picks to grab daniel graham light. we can still get a NT project in Sammie Lee Hill later on and seriously he will be better than brace in the long run anyhow.

You are so lost it's pitiful. You really have no understanding of what happened today.

Well by all means, explain it to us, oh guru of all things football who happens to post on a message board.

Can't wait for you to set all of us straight.

I'm not wild about all the picks, but the draft isn't even half over.

But sure. Sky is falling and that. Carry on.
