View Full Version : What # will Moreno wear? Should Champ give up 24 for him?

Just curious to see what everyone thinks about bringing in another #24 from Georgia (yes, I know Champ had a different # there). Both Moreno and Bailey are connected to #24. Is it time for Champ to give up 24? Or what # will Knowshon where? I wonder if he'll wear 34?

I can't believe that a player like Champ would give up his number to a rook.

Can they do that with Davis in the ROF?

if he is really attached to the number i could see him inverting the number and being 42.

although, there remains the possibility of number 30.

the next Georgia RB to wear the number in Denver

I think he should go with 34, actually. Its kind of an old school # when such greats as Campbell, Payton, Walker, and Jackson roamed the earth.

He wore #20 his rookie year, then swapped to #30 in 07 when we brought Travis Henry in.

Is this thread a joke? Why would our best player give up his number to a rookie? Because you saw some youtube video where he was totally sick?

I hope its not 44. Its a good # but the aesthetics are lacking for the #4 with our font. Its mainly the first 4 that doesnt look right. Plus, 44 s/b for bigger backs.

NFL Franchise players cannot change their numbers....they have to approve it with the team prior to doing so - remember the whole ocho-cinco name change ordeal. Same thing applies for frachise players.

Absolutely Champ should give up his number. And that goes for any other future Hall of Famer that has the same number as an incoming 1st round draft pick. This one is a no-brainer.

04-26-2009, 01:41 PM
In fact, Champ should not only give up his number to Moreno, but Champ should also carry Moreno's helmet to and from the practice field, stand next to him in the August heat holding Moreno's water bottle, and should sing the Georgia fight song if Moreno asks, obviously.

Why would Champ consider giving up his number? I don't think the question will ever be brought up. This tread is kind of dumb. The rook will simply get another number.

Yep! Knowshon is more concerned about his guaranteed signing bonus and his 4-6 year rookie contract. He knows an NFL RB only has a 4-6 year shelf-life.
