12. Denver Broncos:
B.J. Raji, DT, Boston College

Team needs: DE, DT, OLB, WR
Comment: New coach Josh McDaniels is overhauling the defense, installing a 3-4 scheme after releasing four starters from a year ago. He needs size, and the best defensive tackle in this draft falls into his lap at 12.

18. Denver Broncos:
Brian Orakpo, DE, Texas

Team needs: DE, DT, OLB, WR
Comment: Taking B.J. Raji at nose tackle at 12 would give the Broncos a building block in the run defense in the new 3-4 scheme. Orapko would give the Broncos some much-needed pass rush. They managed 26 sacks last year. Orakpo had 12.

If Orakpo is there at 12, I really doubt we let him go further than that.

Those would be two fabulous picks.

Ofcourse, neither is likely to be there at each respective point.

He also has us passing on Sanchez at 12.

That Green Bay will snap up Raji without a minute passing on the clock is a foregone conclusion, and that's if he makes it that far down.

Aren't there some injury concerns with Orakpo? I'm thinking he just might be a surprise slip to Denver. If he is, we have to pounce.

Wow.

Gosselin is right more than anybody else because he actually talks to people in each organization and has built relationships instead of just spouting what he thinks.

I SO want this to happen.

True--but I am not sure how many contacts he has with the new Broncos administration--Orapko @ 18? NO way...Raji could fall to 12, but I doubt it.
I say Orapko @ 12 and Knowshon Moreno @18.

Best mock in terms of what we get or where he has every player selected across the board?

I agree, it's great for the Broncos. I don't think it's likely though, but Goss is well respected.

Likely always goes out the window on draft day.

Oh boy, the two biggest busts in the draft. Sounds like about the kind of draft the Broncos would get.

Yeah right! Raji will be long gone by 12. I'd...do a happy dance in front of the TV if we got Raji.

I'm thinking we will go with either Tyson Jackson or Peria Jerry. Brian Orakbo would be great, but I doubt he will be there at 12 either.

Hear me today and beleive me tomorrow: ALL DEFENSE DRAFTED TODAY! (I think) ;D

Wow, if that happens Mc D gets a bagging reprieve from me, at least until our 1st loss.

Is this guy a Bronco fan?

He should also add that we trade Shef for Peppers and Carolina also agrees to pay Peppers salary.

Is the draft this weekend or next ???

Rohirrim

Actually, I take that back. I don't think Orakpo will bust at all. I just don't think he fits a 3-4. He's a hand down pass rusher. I just don't see it. Tyson Jackson is the pick of the draft for a 3-4 team. I'm convinced Raji will be a bench turd.

That would be quite a fortunate draft. I dont think that either of those cats will be around for either of those picks though.

if raji falls to 12 that is a no brainer, but it wont happen......if it did if knowshon is there at 18 you really cant pass up on that.... he would complete our offense and would be less risky than a DE/OLB that would take time to develop.

If we grab Raji at #12 -- there would be no need for Brace -- we might get a shot at Rashad Johnson at #48

When the actual first pick is made, there will be 20 "WTF?" posts along with 92 posts asking "why pick....?" One half of the board will be thrilled, the other half will will be pissed. When the second pick is made, the halves will shift such that half of the first pissed group will now be thrilled, while half of the first thrilled group will be pissed, the rest will be drunk and swearing off the Broncos for the foreseeable future, at least until the next pick.....

There can be no consensus pick.

In the end all will be pissed until Wednesday next week and a whole new line of names for McD will be found. Yet, none of the morons will sell their tickets unless they are scalping them.

Happens every year.....

Just saying.....

IF Sanchez is there at #12 Denver better be on the phone to NYJ pronto.

I'm sure they would love to jump the 'Skins.....

Back to back at 17 & 18 and the Jets 76th would be sweet.
