Sounds like Denver is looking for players that can play multiple positions. So think of a DL that can play DE and DT in 3-4 and a LB that can play in different LB spots. I bet Jenkins is on the list.

I tried. The search function is pretty unwieldly here and I don't remember the titles of his threads. I tried looking up the term "tip" and didn't find anything. Using the term front office, draft or scouting is worthless. His thread titles are usually an entire sentence long.

Ha! That would be me and the Doc! I remember that draft very well. Hated Cutler. I thought he was a media creation led by Mike Mayock. I also believe that b/c he had so much success that really gave Mayock a lot of credibility. I recall not liking the Scheffler pick either. In fact, I think the only pick I was happy with was the BMarsh pick.

Unfortunately, my guess is that Orakpo is no better than Dumervil. Maybe not as good, given where he's coming from. Raji? Here's my favorite quote out of Raji's mouth (before he started getting coached not to say what he really believed) “I was a cashier at Kmart,” Raji says. “I was 16, and I would always take double the amount of breaks allowed. It got really boring so I quit.” That's the guy I want to line up at NT. Ha!

I don't think Raji or Jackson will be there when we are up, when we pick it will be during the run on OT's once the big top ten names are gone I would be happy with any two of these guys with our first round picks Everette Brown, Larry English, Laurinaitis, Alphonso Smith, Beanie Wells, LeSean McCoy, Michael Johnson, Peria Jerry. Ayers and Maybin do nothing for me, but I guess we will all have to wait and see what the new kid has in store for us

Going off of alot of the speculation that's been going around here. I could see the draft going down like this...

Trade down in first round (probably get an extra 3rd) and draft Brandon Graham.
Trade 2nd round pick and 3rd or 4th to get into the end of the first round and draft Tim Tebow. (and the mane crashes)
Draft Arrelious. Benn or another reciever in round with our leftover 2nd round pick.

I doubt they want Weatherspoon in a trade down. I really like him as a 4-3 three down LB, but he loses some value playing the 3-4 and having to stack and shed. He needs to be as free as possible to be an impact style player.

Personally, I think they go Odrick in a trade down @ 24 or another trade for value.

DRAFT GUESS AWAY...well all those who 'screw'd' me - lol!

jk.

There are 3 players we'll take at 11 if they are still available. Other than that we are moving back which is priority #1.

Moving up is just all hype from what I hear from my source (whisperman#810112)...we actually are trying to build up our position building on the speculation that we're going to hit a high profile QB to increase our #11 value (sneeeeeaky). But as you guys know, we've tried everything to move back...even stating that we'd like to go forward.

Denver board has great value later in round 1. OT's and QB's should go fast as well as Dline...we want Dline, LB, OL in that order. I know there are 3 players we are spotting at #11 and one is a Dlineman (if he be there) and one player that is an ILB (I have no idea of name - assume McCain). Expect heavy OL draft and CB/LB draft for us. If we trade back, I don't think there is any question that we'll grab Mr Bouncy (302 lbs) at Center or a Decent LB.

#11 is going to be pretty wild...as my source stated 'there is a issue with X and McD in the front office as McD doesn't like to draft Dlineman....prefers to take LB's, CB's, S, Ball Control positions of offense (athlete's that he can use)." He wants an instant contributor this year at the first 3 picks...so expect 'need' picks at these spots. So, my guess is that it will be a LB given we stick. If not a LB, I'd go OL or WR.

Sorry there isn't more...If we draft at #11 expect it to be a DT, LB, OL, WR, CB, S. Then expect more OL, LB, WR in the 2nd round. 3rd Round may see TE.

Not too exciting but fun to think we may get another Big Al in the middle again in round 1.

FWIW...

Peter King's thoughts...
For now, here are the Ten Things I Think I Think Hours Before The Draft:

1. I think Ben Roethlisberger is going nowhere.

I've been wrong before, and I'll be wrong again, and I don't doubt that the Steelers might be thinking internally about what to do with Roethlisberger. But I think the snowstorm of Roethlisberger's-on-the-block stories is a bit overblown. Since Roger Goodell's suspension of Roethlisberger, I've had two teams with picks in the top half of the first round of the draft -- teams with clear quarterback needs, teams not in the Steelers' division -- tell me they hadn't heard a word from the Steelers about dealing for Big Ben. No communication whatsoever. If the Steelers were going to make a decision this big, wouldn't they survey the field completely instead of half-heartedly? Again, I'll be the first to admit it if I'm wrong, but I don't think he's going anywhere unless he has some issue with the completion of the terms of the suspension.

2. I think the most interesting point of the draft will be around picks eight through 12.

I'm hearing the object of the Eagles' trade-up affections is South Florida DE Jason Pierre-Paul, who the Eagles think has a chance to be similar to DeMarcus Ware. But Philly may have to trade up to eight, because the Raiders, picking there, like him a lot too. I doubt the Eagles will use enough ammo to trade up that high, and Al Davis is not a big mover-shaker in first rounds.

3. I think, as I said yesterday, Jacksonville (10), Denver (11) and Miami (12) all want out.

They want to go down for extra picks, and the most motivated team to do so, I believe, is Denver. If the Jags pass on Rolando McClain -- more and more I'm hearing the Jags will take McClain or C.J. Spiller if they stay at 10 -- I expect the Broncos to get at least one call from a team looking to move up and get him. That call could come from the Giants. I can't say for sure whether Philly will move up for Derrick Morgan if the Eagles fail to get Pierre-Paul, but I believe they will try.

4. I think, or I'm starting to, that Bryan Bulaga could fall in the first round.

The tackle from Iowa's stock is plummeting. Read his complete profile here.

5. I think the Ravens could be the luckiest team in the draft, again, if Dan Williams falls into the late teens.

Remember last year, when they traded up to get Michael Oher, their left tackle of the future, when Oher started plummeting? I could see them doing it again if Williams is there around 19 or 20. Imagine Haloti Ngata and Dan Williams plugging the middle for the next five or six years. Scary. Who could run on that?

6. I think Washington doesn't have enough to trade up for Sam Bradford at number one.

More importantly, St. Louis doesn't want to trade the pick. And won't, barring a late stunner.

7. I think my over-under on first-round trades is 4.5 and I'll take the over ... barely.

And I think the team most certain to deal is Denver.

8. I think Indiana tackle Rodger Saffold is this year's Sam Baker.

Two years ago, Baker was a true second-round pick who flew up into the first (Falcons, 21st overall) because of tremendous tackle needs in the NFL. Saffold, a tackle from Indiana, doesn't get past Indianapolis at 31.

9. I think you could have knocked me over with a feather this morning...

...when I saw the most respected newspaper guy on the draft, Rick Gosselin of the Dallas Morning News, pick C.J. Spiller to Houston at 20 and Jimmy Clausen to Minnesota at 30. Can't believe either would go that low, but Goose is one of those ahead-of-the-curve guys who makes me at least think about it.

10. I think in five years, a lot of teams will say: "We were idiots to pass on Jimmy Clausen.''

Man, I hope I don't regret that.

Here's a hint for ya.

If we move down in the first round we will draft a Big 12 Tight End. That's no joke.

Since they didn't bring him for visit, I doubt it. They brought one TE in and he played in the PAC-10.

What's Mitch Mustain's status? I'd like too mind see him brought in as a free agent if he's leaving school this year.

Thanks Vegas bronco..I am relieved that we are not targeting Tebow.

i can't resist informing Bronco fans the inside scoop I got from Denver organization (which I have 1 degree of separation). Here is the plan today...an exciting draft for Denver. Trade back (maybe twice- gathering multiple draft picks for next year) into the early 20's. First Targeted Pick for Broncos: QB T. TEBOW Sorry for folks who don't like it but McD loves him and saw the potential. Next is to package multiple picks back into the first round (maybe even the next pick I'm told) to grab: C M. POUNCEY This will leave Denver with one second round pick where we grab: LB BUTLER WRs will be drafted in later rounds, plus they are targeting a 3rd down RB.

Butler in the second round would piss me the hell off. So many better LB's then that. HA HA

What number will McClain wear when he gets here? if trading out of #11 doesn't happen and he's available it's as good as done.

Close ;)
