yea i was shocked to read about this...

i just don't get it...he had (almost single handedly) 6 turnovers in his last start...he was just awful...

how does that equate into 20 mil guaranteed...

plummer was only half as bad against Pitt and saw his replacement drafted 6 mos later...

Well, I could have added, "so they can trade him and Peppers to the Broncos for #s 12 and 18 in the first round," but that would have been mean.

Why? He's on the wrong side of 30 and looked terrible in the playoff game.

I thought they would look to get younger in the draft.

So thats the range for an average starter...

I'm going to cry if we have to give Orton $50 mil to keep him after this season.

Its a SMOKESCREEN I tell you!! They will trade up and get Sanchez. Conspiracy theories every where.

Wow, just wow. I know the move will help them with the salary cap, but wow.

He was HORRIBLE in the playoff loss. HORRIBLE.

I thought they were really tight on the cap with the Peppers situation hanging over them - how can they afford to do this?

By chance, do they already have an agreement for moving Peppers?

I think this gives them some cap space.

Either that, or this is a very expensive way of giving your QB some confidence.

According to the article, this deal actually freed up cap space. His 2009 hit, before they did this deal, was over $10 mil. Now it's well under that.

That move doesn't make ANY sense! Why would they guarantee $20M? ugh, that's dumb!!

That was the worst playoff performance by a single player I have ever seen in any sport. I couldn't believe that game - was it 5 ints and a fumble?

Awesome!

That is at least one crap QB that Josh can't acquire.
