With the exception of Ashley Lelie wanting to get paid and played as a #1 (I think that's how it went down), when was the last time you've heard about a Bronco player publicly complaining about salary?

Maybe it's just my perception, but it seems to happen to other teams a lot more frequently than it does us.

weigman didnt complain about his salary at all, he just said that if hes going to play again hes not gonna play for veterans minimum, and he had every right to do so.

I wouldn't call that complaining.

Of course when you perform at the level he did and make us not cry our selves to sleep over no more Nalen and is getting paid a backup's salary it might cloud perception a little bit.

This is the back lash you can get from redoing a deal to soon and locking a player up forever.

how is that not 100% the players fault? if he gets injured the next day the team is on hte hook for the whole salary. its a risk the team makes for extending a contract for a long time early in their career.

Calm Down Sparky. Please highlight all mentions of team, or player in my post. I really don't care who is at fault. They do correlate though.

And the team is not on the hook for his whole salary just guaranteed portions.

I think it was Tatum Bell's holdout.

I'm not sold that Lelie's was about money. He wanted to be the number one receiver without earning it camp. Good grief, he was a whiner.

didn't Sharpe go to Baltimore over a money dispute?

Portis, walking right into shanny's office and saying "Make me the highest paid back in the league",, off to Washington you go Clinton, goodbye.

Shanny told him that he (Denver) could not afford to pay him. So Sharpe took the big money deal with the Ravens...then beat us in the playoff's, won the Super Bowl, broke the tight end reception record held by Ozzie...but was back with us two years later.

damn, ok we've had our fair share... I guess I just didn't pay much attention to it. Maybe it's the fact that all disputes were resolved pretty quickly by shipping players the F out.
