I hate to see us in need of a Dline again....

....one area where we just can't get it together.

For the longest time, I've hated on the idea that we couldn't draft a WR - then, boom! we get 2 of the best in each draft class in Marshall and Royal. Let's hope the same thing happens in this years draft at d-line. I've always been a huge fan of signing proven veterans on the Dline and Safety positions while drafting corners and linebackers.

I'd like to see us take a gamble on Mustard in the 3rd round.

hahaha....I saw that...there is no way that happens with two starting TEs already on the roster...

McDaniels should draft whoever played QB for Vanderbilt this year and make him into a Pro Bowler just to prove a point

Giving this some more thought ...

I do not see Denver cashing in two first round picks (and the associated salary) just to get Sanchez. He is not NFL ready. It will take at least a season or two of bumbling rookie errors to get him up to speed. And there's probably at least 1 chance in 3 that he busts. Meanwhile, we've got Orton and Simms, and no one really knows how either of them will play in McD's "system. One thing we do know is that they will need lots of reps.

If we had no other needs, we might have the luxury of playing that game.

But this team badly needs defensive help, and especially on the defensive line.

There's a pretty good chance that either Raji, Jackson, Maybin or Brown falls to 12. Which one is anyone's guess. And at 18, we could very well see Ayers or English or Jerry. Our current D-Line is so week that almost any of these guys could have a good chance of stepping in and making an impact.

This team is also woefully lacking depth in the secondary and none of the guys we do have penciled in are spring chickens. That's almost as big a need as the line.

And I wouldn't be shocked to see a LB at 18, especially if Cushing or Rey-Rey was still on the board.

Meanwhile, if McD really wants to groom his own young "system" QB, there are other options later in the draft plus a pretty promising class on tap for next year.

When you're the 29th D in the league, you have to start at the beginning. That means stopping the run. I hope our first three picks are made with that in mind.

IMO, TE's are never worthy of a #1 pick
