i love Rey Rey and i have been going back and forth on who i wanna see us draft between him and Brown...

i chose Brown because he's the best pass rusher in the draft IMO, and him and Doom would be a dangerous pass rushing tandem...

and being that Nolan doesn't blitz too much, we need pass rushers in our base sets...

as for ILB...team Davis up with either DJ/WW/Larsen/later round prsopect and take our chances...

It's interesting you bring up Curry. Some mock drafts I've seen have Curry going to KC, when their clear need is a guy to protect Cassel. Either the draft "experts" don't have a clue, or KC doesn't have a clue if they take Curry. It's a tossup...ROFL!

Yeah, that was silly of me ... all the mocks have the Saints taking Jenkins, so I chose the Saints to trade with, my mistake. The trade should've been with the Redskins at 13.

I think I was very realistic overall, though ... I even gave two choices at NT late because one of them will prolly be gone by the 6th. I suppose the 5th rounder to the Cowboys to move up 30 spots for Unger is okay points wise, but I'm not sure they'd take it.

I'm not a huge fan of Jackson at #12. I get the logic, he's a safe bet to be at least a quality three down player at a big position of need, but I'd really like more upside at the 12th overall pick.

You take what you can get though. I won't be pissed if we take him, but it wouldn't rank in my "dream draft".

Malcolm Jenkins I'm a big fan of. He compares well with Antrel Rolle who has found a lot of success in AZ playing as a FS and nickel CB. That'd be a useful addition to our roster and brings some much needed versatile youth to our DBs.

Brace at 48 should take the FO all of about five seconds to get the card up to the podium. Just long enough to remind themselves that while Brace isn't perfect he's the best shot at a straight up NT they'll get in this draft.

I think Unger will end up being a first half of the second round type, so he might not even be available at that pick. Personally I'm not a huge fan. I like his versatility but I question if he's going to hold up at center in the pros. Mack is on a different plane from him and I honestly slightly favor Wood from Louisville. I think he's got better power than Unger which is going to be pretty key when facing NTs regularly in today's NFL.

Fili Moala would be a steal at 79, but I could see him slide too, there is some interesting 5-tech depth in this draft so teams might be unwilling to pony up on a guy like Moala so early in the draft.

Other than that, its later round picks so they're all shots in the dark. I'd be up for seeing more 5-tech draft and develop types like Will Johnson, Zach Potter, Rulon Davis, Khalif Mitchell, etc., but to each their own. However, I'd be outright shocked if Dorell Scott was available in the 6th. He's not an amazing player or anything but I'd imagine he's off the board by the mid-4th at latest. Not a lot of DT depth in this class and that is going to help push him up the board.

except he knocks the crap out of people on a regular basis. People used to say same think about Atwater. That he goes for big hit, doesn't play the ball B.S. You don't want a whole team that plays that way, maybe, but one or 2 crazy headhunting defenders are a must. Broncos have to intimidate teams, people are laughing at them right now. Offenses are excited to play Denver.

You put Rey Rey in the middle in a 3-4 and he will create havoc in the middle of the field all the way to his closest sideline. He will crowd the LOS and worry qbs he may blitz.

He will create fear in the offense that makes them have to account for him. He's that big and strong and if let loose on your RB or QB you might just lose them to injury. He seriously hits people that hard.

Who cares if he whiffs no and again, he will make a ton of tackles and put the fear into offensive players.

If he's there at #79 I'm interested, but he's talked about as a 2nd rounder most of the time, so that seems unlikely. He's too raw to take any sooner in my book.

We need safe producers. Its the single best argument for taking someone like Tyson Jackson at #12, trying to lock up at least one starting spot with a better than average three down starter. Thats probably all he'll ever be, but someone needs to fill those holes.

My dream day draft starts with sending Moss and a bucket of pickles to KC for the third pick. Then we package that with Crowder and send it to Oakland for #7 overall, and their first rounder in 2010. Then we send Paxton to the Chargers for their 2d, 3rd and 4th round picks in perpetuity.

You're right ... I amended that trade to be with the Redskins instead, up to @ #13. Ridiculously speculative of course (especially in that Dan Snyder is not the kinda guy to "delay gratification" by trading down :~ohyah!:). But I really like Jenkins.

Some have criticized a FS that high, but Jenkins is highly instinctive and a big hitter ... he could team with Barrett as a nice duo into the future. Plus of course Jenkins has exceptional coverage skills and can probably step right in as an effective nickel back, as I think Drek mentioned. The next best FS is Louis Delmas, and I think there's a real dropoff there.
