I don't know what news you watch but the local guys get bored and come and try to dig up crap about the airport and routinely slam DIA. Then they get owned with facts and go away like the cockroaches they are.

They were referencing a periodical of note.

DIA used to be better than Cenntential, but something change about a year ago and DIA went into the crapper and now the smaller airport is better. Something about saftey and the people that manage it. It's all rather technical.

I wasn't happy with the quality of people businesses located at Centennial were bringing in. It was one of the biggest reasons I left, I could no longer watch good companys self mutilate themselves!

I heard that a few years ago DIA instituted their own brand of affirmative action where they only hired Virginia Tech grads. That probably has something to do with it.

Like Denver, Cleveland's path to the conference finals was just as easy (if not easier.) It will be nice to see them actually tested by a good team (Orlando) in the ECF.

All in all, the Cavs are where they are not just because LBJ is a great player but because they play in a weaker conference and have a padded record.

Dude, you could not be more wrong. The Lakers are in the weaker conference. I so wish that the Cavs could play the Thunder, Grizzlies, Timberwolves, Clippers, Warriors and Kings more!

East > West.

You must not have watched that game 7 v. the Rockets.

Bynum plays like that against the Thuggets and the latter will be crapping their pants.

Yeah, and he had 14 points when the Lakers won by 40, too! What a stud! He plays so well in Blowouts.

I think the dissapearing act he pulled in 10/12 games so far overrides a decent game in the midst of a blowout.

The Cav's record against the west is pretty damn good so it pretty much shoots his argument down.

Plenty cared about the Nuggets. But after they let Mutombo go for nothing, and Rauf pulled his anti-americanism bullsh*t I was done with em for quite awhile. Add to that there was basically nothing they had to build the team around for 6 years and all I mostly did was look at the standings and shake my head. When Kroenke bought the team I jumped back on. Because my commitment goes as far as the owners commitment to winning. And Ill stick with the Nugs, Broncos, and Avs so long as the organizations continue to show a commitment. And I'll live through the terrible decisions those organizations make so long as they keep that commitment. But Didnt support the sad sacks that owned the team, from the idiots in the 90's to the douchebag Cherry Creek banker who only bought them to turn a profit, and didnt even know how to get to McNichols. But Kroenke wanted to turn this team into an NBA champ the minute he bought the team, and he proved it. Rockies on the other hand can go to hell till the Monforts either commit or sell. Doesnt mean Ill ever jump to another team, just means I won't support loser organizations with either my time or money.

Beautiful. It needs to be repeated. This is exactly how I've followed sports.

If they do, adding Blake Griffin to that already young and talented roster would be great for their city.

Ricky Rubio will apparently be a very nice consolation prize for whoever gets the 2nd pick, if he decides to come stateside. I thought the guy was like 17 in the olympics last summer, though. So how can he possibly be in this year's draft?

DIA is one of the best airports. Its biggest problem is the airport security. Because old stapleton became choked by urban sprall. So the Metro area came together and found a place away from the congestion to build an airport that can grow in capacity and have great efficiency. Denver has 6 runways and the ability to build another 6 more. So as demand increases Denver can match it. They also purchased land around the airport to create a buffer so residential will never encroach on it again like it did Stapleton.

The efficiency of the pinwheel design that DIA has makes it so that in any weather and wind condition airplanes can land. Denver can in theory land 4 airplanes side by side by side by side as they have essentially 2 airports a west and east side.

Its why Denver has grown into a major hub because airlines can get flights in and out on time making their operation that much more efficient.

While LAX is a good airport it is annoying to have to go through security everytime you switch terminals where DIA is a one time deal which is much nicer. DIA has 10x the facilities inside that LAX has and a lot of that is just that DIA is a lot newer. BTW the beach there in LB is pretty nasty with all of the ships and other stuff that make the water dirty. The ocean is somewhat overrated too as I'll take the mountains any day over a busy packed beach. Guys from CA think they have the only good looking girls around when in reality AZ and I'll even go out on a limb and say CO can do much better as far as the quality of women.

Well the close certain coves for a 5 yr period, then open that one up and close another. If they didn't the Calico Bass population would get to low. In freshawater you just don't have to worry because of the vast stocking programs the western USA now has.

The High Sierras actually some really nice mountains. I'm not saying they are the Rockies but they are a really nice range to visit.

I'll take some pretty good mountains, great beaches, over gret mountains, no beaches any day.

I don't deal with DIA much anymore and could be wrong about this but isn't there only one or two big security checkpoints? If that is the case that is the reason for the lines where most other airports have smaller security checkpoints for each individual terminal which is good and bad also. Good being shorter lines(which I could care less about), but the bad is once you leave one terminal for another you have to go through security again and that is what I hate. I believe that DIA is once your through security you can access every gate and terminal. APA could probably answer that better than I could but that was my observation the half a dozen times I have been in and out of there.

After Lakers wipe the friggin floor with Nuggets then we will talk for real.

You are correct. There are actually 3 checkpoints. 2 main security check points in the great hall one on the North and one on the South side. Both funnel down to the AGTS (train to concourses). Once you clear security you are free to move about the concourses as you wish.

You can also go through security and walk across the passenger bridge to A concourse.

I would go nuts if I had to live near all the crazy a-holes (yourself excluded) in cali. And the traffic. and the pollution. and the crime. did i mention the a-holes?

Never done any serious bone fishing, but nothing beats an afternoon with a fly rod and a 6 pack on the river.

Yeah the traffic would drive me crazy if I had to commute. But since I sit around and spend money, play, have a good time, I don't have to endure that.

Honestly I love Colorado. It would for sure be where I move to if I leave CA. IMO the whole country kicks ass and you can find a nice place to live in any state you choose.

The Rocky's are beautiful and Denver is a great city to live in.

It's just that I still think Lakers wipe the floor with the nuggets.

I agree with you though if you ain't used to LA and the traffic, no way you could adapt and come live here. People who grew up here sort of know how to avoid the crazies, but I could see how it would be a shock for out of towners.

One thing I noticed on my last trip to Denver though was a bunch of thug looking young black males that reminded me of LA.

Ok cool, I just thought it was weird to have an airport miles away from the City. Most cities I go to the airport is right there in the middle of everything.

That has to do when the airports were built. Denver is one of the few major airports that was built within the last 15-20 years. Most were initially built 50 years or so ago.

This series is going to be tough, I grew up rooting for the Nuggets, I have been to many Nuggets games, I remember the days of Alex English and Calving Natt. I love this Nugget team, Chauncey is awesome, the Birdman is one of my favorite players in the NBA.

But I have lived in LA for 15 years now and very slowly have grown to truly love this team. I go to 25 games a year and I truly love this team. I watch and listen to every game. I love the Lakers just as much as I love the Broncos. I sure wish they had to play someone else. Why the Nuggets?

It is time for the Nugs to make a final, this franchise has paid its dues. it will just have to be next year.

That whole idea to me is idiotic.

Out of all the pro sports I think the NBA has the most potential to be fixed especially when Stern has said Kobe vs Lebron is his dream matchup. Then take into account a ref already busted for borderline fixing.

Thats where it comes from.

Exactly you know he is nervous when he won't shoot. Maybe that will get him into the game.

He's only 1-3. Needs to be more of a "gimme the ball and go to hell. Im JRsus mutha ****a!" And go bombs away.

Meanwhile, Kobe is 9-23 and pissed. :)

As the new, official mediator of this series, I'm declaring that neither side can bitch about calls in tonight's game. The officiating has been horrendous. But still, it's rare that the refs decide games.
